About the role Working closely with the Creative Director, the Brand Manager will develop, implement and evaluate marketing and communication strategies and initiatives, managing public relations, marketing, events, online communications and the Anna Campbell online store. The role includes the creation of inspiring, unique and effective content, events and initiatives that tell the story of the Anna Campbell brand, reflect Anna Campbell s values and identity, connect with Anna Campbell s ideal client, and increase revenue. The successful candidate will identify internal and external brand, marketing and communication issues and opportunities, such as areas for training/development, new policies and improved procedures and address them through the creation of exciting activities and initiatives that build the company s capacity and performance. The position, with the support of the Creative Director and Anna Campbell Management Team, leads, engages and motivates all Anna Campbell employees, working to achieve a cohesive, company-wide approach to brand management and fostering a positive, productive internal culture. A full position description is available at Essential criteria Tertiary qualification in marketing, public relations or communication or equivalent experience. Experience in the successful planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing, communication and/or brand management strategies. Ability to use public relations techniques to secure free or low cost promotional opportunities and editorial space. Highly developed online communication skills and experience in social media management and the use of web content management systems. Ability to build internal relationships, work collaboratively in a team environment and influence/develop a positive internal culture. Experience in a retail environment and/or experience in delivering excellent customer service. Experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs, particularly InDesign and Photoshop. Knowledge of and/or experience in the fashion or bridal industries. Experience in developing and managing high profile, successful events.

As part of this role, the Brand Manager develops, implements and evaluates brand, marketing and communication strategies and initiatives. The role includes the creation of inspiring, unique and effective content, events and initiatives that tell the story of the Anna Campbell brand, reflect Anna Campbell s values and identity, connect with Anna Campbell s ideal client, and increase revenue. The Brand Manager identifies internal and external brand, marketing and communication issues and opportunities, such as areas for training/development, new policies and improved procedures and addresses them through the creation of exciting activities and initiatives that build the company s capacity and performance. ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The Brand Manager reports to, consults with and supports the role of the Creative Director and occasionally oversees casual PR/Marketing Assistants, and PR/Marketing Interns (direct reports). The position also includes establishing and maintaining excellent, collaborative relationships across the organisation, working particularly closely with senior staff including Company Second in Command and the Wholesale, Retail and Production Managers. Externally, the Brand Manager will liaise with a range of industry partners, the media and Anna Campbell suppliers and on occasions will be required work with international public relations consultants to promote the Anna Campbell brand globally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Communication and content management In consultation with the Creative Director: Create, manage and implement the annual editorial calendar. Edit images for distribution and manage image galleries. Design beautiful, graphics and visual content for dissemination across a variety of online and offline channels and promotional events. Manage the creation and scheduling of content for Anna Campbell s social media platforms. Support the Creative Director to monitor, influence and respond to online conversations and interactions. Analyse and report on online sales and online communication performance, adapting processes and content to reflect client needs and desires and emerging trends. Oversee website content management and ensure that the Anna Campbell website reflects and enhances brand image and is optimised to achieve sales targets. Increase subscriptions to the Anna Campbell VIP list and prepare effective e-newsletters for distribution to subscribers. Media Relations Develop and strengthen relationships with media outlets and representatives, proactively identifying strategic story opportunities and preparing effective media releases. Secure online and offline product placement and publicity opportunities in blogs, magazines and other media platforms. Monitor online and offline media and create monthly media report. Manage the media sample collection, working to limit costs and maximise impact and overseeing lend-outs to the media and boutiques. Marketing and sales Work within the allocated marketing budget to develop, implement and evaluate successful marketing strategies, initiatives and programs that contribute dramatically to sales performance and provide a demonstrable and significant return on investment

4 Manage the Anna Campbell online store, ensuring sales are maximised through effective content and identifying and developing new ways to improve sales and service levels. Fill in as an in-store stylist where occasionally required, working directly with Anna Campbell brides. Directly achieve sales via face to face selling as part of local, interstate and international sales events and activities. Budgets Set and work to promotional and marketing budgets and targets, consistently prioritising activities to ensure the best return on investment for the company. Work to identify and create free publicity opportunities, prioritising public relations over paid content or marketing. Working with the Anna Campbell Management Team, identify and implement new ideas and projects to increase profit and decrease loss company-wide. Meet and work to exceed online sales targets each month. External Relationship Management Develop strategic, beneficial relationships across the bridal industry (i.e. stylists, media, suppliers) On occasions, attend industry events to network and build industry relationships. Leadership, internal communications and culture development As part of the Anna Campbell Management Team: Work to build a positive, productive internal culture. In consultation with the Creative Director, deliver individual, small group and whole team training sessions (communications, marketing and/or brand management related). Advise and work closely with the design team, communicating media news, and relaying consumer and industry news and feedback. Oversee the creation and dissemination Anna Campbell s internal newsletter. Under the direction of the Creative Director, organize and coordinate internal team-building activities and events such as staff lunches, quarterly meetings and Christmas parties. Actively work to support the Creative Director and management team to improve staff health, wellbeing and morale in the workplace. Customer Relations Manage and improve customer relations performance across the company, ensuring a quality experience for every customer. Where necessary, manage customer complaints ensuring positive outcomes for clients. Events management Under the direction of the Creative Director, plan and manage Anna Campbell branded events (i.e. collection launches, in-store events and promotions, VIP events and boutique openings) that: o Meet objectives and are on time and within budget. o Are inspiring and unique, speaking to and engaging the company s ideal client and/or targeted stakeholders (i.e. media). o Enhance and reflect the company s brand image and aesthetic

5 o Build relationships with partners and third party suppliers that share and/or complement the Anna Campbell brand aesthetic In consultation with the Creative Director, coordinate Anna Campbell s presence at third party events such as One Fine Day to maximize the impact of and return on these events. Promotional shoot co-ordination With the support of the Creative Director: Oversee photo-shoot coordination, managing contributors, locations, dates etc. Assist with development of the styling concept where required Assist on day if required Assist in casting models if required Negotiate rates, contributions and contracts with all contributors OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION A probationary period of 3 months applies Applicants must possess a driver s license and be prepared to undergo a police check prior to appointment on request. The position description is subject to change in line with organizational priorities. The successful candidate is expected to travel interstate and internationally on occasion. Weekend and after hours work may be required as part of achieving the objectives of this role. The successful candidate may be required to perform other relevant duties as directed. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA (ESSENTIAL) Training/qualifications Qualification in communications, public relations, marketing (or similar), or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
