8 PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Overview History of program - $5,000 grant awarded FY14; IED FY15 Current offerings - Introduction to Engineering, Principles of Engineering Future focus - Civil Engineering & Architecture Career / Higher Education strands - Leads to Civil Engineering, Architecture, BioTechnical, Aerospace, Digital Electronics, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing career majors. INVENTOR D solid modeling design software, AutoCAD/Auto desk University credits per class University of Iowa transcript for $150 tuition per class (similar to dual credit) AP credit available 2017 for stanine of 6 or above in 2/more classes plus AP Calculus Milwaukee School of Engineering, University of IL at Chicago, Indiana University, and many others offer the credits per class

9 NATEF Overview~Addison Trail High School Automotive Program earned NATEF Certification Status from the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation Documentation preparation began in Spring 2014 AT applied for certification in November 2015 On-site visit in January 2016 Official notification of certification in February 2016 Steps in Planning and Documentation Program evaluation of purpose and procedures over 12 Standards set by NATEF Updated and added equipment and tools, completed curriculum work on units of study, lab rubrics, common assessments, and e-learning Additional courses added: Auto 4 and 5 for advanced students
