Ces manchettes alarmantes montrent très bien les problèmes avec lesquelles lutte l économie européenne depuis plusieurs années maintenant, c'est-à-dire un manque de travailleurs spécialisés augmentant. Le projet TAKE TECH abord ce problème et se voit comme un moteur de l économie européenne pour garder sa capacité d innovation avec des personnes spécialisées et qualifiées. La méthode TAKE TECH, qui a déjà été employée en Autriche, est très bien capable de faire le pont entre les jeunes et les entreprises. The project TAKE TECH aimed at spreading the method TAKETECH - awareness raising of young people for technical professions - all over Europe and partly to enhance the already existing TAKE TECH method. The target of TAKE TECH has been to link schools and technical companies through systematic matchmaking and to raise the awareness for technical issues among youngsters through school visits to such companies. On the one hand, young people should get interested in technical professions through these company visits, on the other hand companies can present themselves to future employees and can by that actively prevent themselves a possible lack of skilled personnel. All in all about pupils could visit over 150 companies during the pilot Phase of the project. In order to reach the targets of the project, the following steps have been taken in the project TAKE TECH: - Analysis of best practices for measures, raising the awareness of young people for technical professions in all the participating countries - Enhancing the existing TAKETECH method specifically with regard to the development of target oriented measures for young people and companies - Transfer of the TAKE TECH method via a train-the-trainer Seminar to several European countries. 18 Événements PHOTO EXHIBITION IN THE YOUTH CENTER OF KALAMATA Date We organized a photo exhibition with photos from all the matchmakings that we have taken during TAKE TECH project. The photo exhibition was held in the youth center of Kalamata and it lasted a week so that a lot of people could be informed about this project. As most of its members are young people, we reached our main target group of young people who are in secondary education looking for their future steps. We told them about opportunities in our area and the technical job positions that are on demand. There were also parents that had children in the age of our target group and they were interested in our exhibition, they wanted to learn about the program and they wanted to find out about its results so that they could transfer their knowledge to their children. teachers, pupils, parents, SMEs Filaretos Vourkos: filaretos@ngokane.org Kalamata (Greece) TAKE TECH conference in Greece Date It was a dissemination event discussing about the results of the TAKE TECH project. 19 Événements TAKE TECH conference in Greece Date There were three presenters expressing their experience on TAKE TECH project. The presentations lasted for more than one hour and a half and them we had a great and fruitful discussion on the experience that other companies had, ideas about future activities and ways to improve the connection between companies and young people, especially with pupils that would like to follow technical job positions but they are not aware of the opportunities of our area and the technical positions that are in demand. 25 Événements TAKE TECH press release Date The press release took place in a company, participating in the Take Tech matchmaking. The relase was divides in two parts: one theoretical part with information from the CEO of the company "virtual vehicle", the CEO of SFG and the minister of the economy department of the styrian government. The other part was a pratical one, where the journalists could take part in the company visit of the pupils and get an impression what Take Tech means. It lasts 2 days an offers different workshops in different actual issues. Summer school is also a place where teachers have time to discuss all information inputs.
