1 RSC-Secure-Wireless provides... Security: RSC-Secure-Wireless provides a layer of encryption for added security. Convenience: You don't have to type in your username and password each time you connect. Most devices will allow you to save your username and password so it will automatically connect without prompting you for your login information. So How Do I Connect? Use your GoStockton Portal username and password to login and follow the instructions below for your particular operating system or device. Windows Automated Installer (recommended) We have provided an automated installer which will verify your system meets the minimum requirements and configures your laptop for RSC-Secure-Wireless. Download and run the installer. Once the installation is complete a pop-up will request your GoStockton Portal username and password. The automated installer can be found on page you downloaded this documentation from.

2 Manual Configuration Manual configuration is recommended if the automated installer fails or you have been directed by computer services to try the manual configuration. Download the instructions for your version of windows. These instructions can be found on the same page you downloaded this documentation from. Mac OS X Instructions Step 1 Click the airport icon in your menu bar and select RSC-Secure-Wireless

3 Step 2 Enter your GoStockton Portal username and password and click Ok. Step 3 The following prompt will appear. Click Show Certificate.

4 Step 4 Verify your details window matches the screenshot from below. If your details window matches the screen shot click Continue. If your window does not match our screen shot and one of the certificates is highlighted in red please contact the help desk at x4309. You may be prompted to add the certificate to your list of trusted certificates. Enter your administrator password and click Ok.

5 Step 5 Your Mac should now connect to RSC-Secure-Wireless. iphones, ipads, ipods

6 Instructions Step 1 Connect to RSC-Secure-Wireless by going to Settings, General, Wi-Fi and selecting RSC-Secure-Wireless from the list.

7 Step 2 Enter your GoStockton Portal username and password. Step 3

8 The following prompt will appear. Verify the name auth1.ac.stockton and the subtext Class 3 Public Primary Ce... appear and click Accept. If either is different do not connect and please notify the help desk at x4309 immediately. Your idevice should now connect to RSC-Secure-Wireless. Other

9 Unfortunately we cannot provide documentation for every device available. Please refer to this guide for help configuring a device which is not listed above. Security: WPA2 (AES or TKIP) If you are prompted about the security type select WPA2 and select AES or TKIP as the subtype. On some devices it may be labled as WPA2 Enterprise. On these devices AES and TKIP will still be available as subtypes Phase 1 Authentication (Key Management): PEAP If you are configuring a computer you will probably need to specify this connection requires PEAP authentication. This option may be hidden under an advanced button or tab. Make sure to look for this option thoroughly because without it your device will not connect. Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2 Most devices will default to MSCHAPV2 for phase 2 authentication. Certificates You may be prompted about the server's certificate because your device does not contain one of the parent certificates, needed for validating the server's certificate, in its repository. Verify the certificate is for auth1.ac.stockton and the

10 its parent certificate is Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority. You may see a chain of certificates, similiar to what is pictured below, but you need only pay attention to the top most parent, which should be Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority. If the name matches it is safe to connect.
