1 How to find the MAC address of your computer To complete the Application for IP Connection, it is required that you include your MAC address. Explanations are provided for the following systems. Windows Windows 8.1 Windows 8 Windows 7 Windows Vista Mac OS X Mac OS X Lion(10.7),Mac OS X Mountain Lion(10.8),Mac OS X Mavericks(10.9) Mac OS X Snow Leopard(10.6) Mac OS X Leopard(10.5) ios iphone,ipod touch,ipad

2 Windows 8.1 1)Point the mouse to either the top or bottom right corner of the screen. 2)This will bring up the Charm bar on the right side of the screen. 3)Click the Search icon. 4)In the Search bar, type cmd. 5)Apps Search result will appear in the under. Click the Command Prompt.

3 6)A command prompt window will appear. Type the command code getmac v (Make sure there is a space before the -v ) Press Enter. 7)For a wired LAN connection: The MAC address will be in the same line as Ethernet under the heading Physical Address : For a wireless LAN connection: The MAC address will be in the same line as Wi-Fi or Wireless under the heading Physical Address : 8)Once you have verified your computer s MAC address, close the window by clicking the X in the upper right-hand corner.

10 For a wireless LAN connection: 1)Select System Preferences from the Apple menu. (Click the Apple icon on the far left of the menu bar) 2)When the System Preferences window appears, click the Network icon.

Select Wi-Fi from the left-hand box of the Network window. 4)Click the Advanced button in the lower right corner of the Network windows. 5)The window that appears offers further options for custom settings. 6)Select the Wi-Fi tab. 7)The MAC address needed for a wireless LAN connection will be displayed after the words Wi-Fi Address:.
