1 Villa La Massa Friends of Gardens Villas & Gardens of Tuscany Spring Tour: from Thursday 2nd to Wednesday, May 8th 2013 Autumn Tour: from Monday 9th to Sunday, September 15th 2013 Villa la Massa on the Arno Garden Villa la Massa, main building Villa La Massa invites you to discover the beauty that lies behind the gates of several private villas and gardens throughout Tuscany. You will learn the stories behind each of these magnificent places from none other than their owners and caretakers.

2 DAY 1: Arrival in Florence Thursday, May 2nd or Monday, September 9th Individual arrivals in Florence during the day. Check-in at Villa La Massa Welcome cocktail and dinner at Il Verrocchio Restaurant of Villa La Massa (all together). DAY 2: A walk through Florence From palaces to gardens (part 1) Friday, May 3rd or Tuesday, September 10th During the whole day, a walk through Florence at the discovery of 3 small and beautiful private gardens that will be opened especially for us by their owners. Lunch at Palazzo Budini Gattai (private), where we will be received by the owner. The Palace has a beautiful garden that was designed at the beginning of the XIX century by the French Landscape Architect Louis Cambrai Digny Return to Villa La Massa and dinner at the hotel (individual).

3 DAY 3: Villas & Gardens of the Chianti Region Saturday, May 4th or Wednesday, September 11th Departure from the hotel and visit to Villa Calcinaia (private), where we will be received by the Conte Sebastiano Capponi who will guide us through his cellars and his flower garden. Lunch at Villa di Vignamaggio (private) to admire the garden where the movie Much Ado About Nothing with Emma Thompson was filmed Visit to the gardens of Villa Le Corti (private), welcomed by the Prince Corsini s Family, owner of the Villa; a wine tasting of their production will follow Return to Villa La Massa and dinner at the Hotel (individual).

4 DAY 4: Villas and Gardens around Siena Sunday, May 5th or Thursday, September 12th Departure to Siena and visit of a private palace especially opened for us. Lunch at Villa Cetinale (private), owned by the son of Lord Lambton, famous landscape architect; visit of the property in the afternoon. Late afternoon - Return to Villa La Massa and dinner at the Hotel (individual). DAY 5: A walk through Florence From palaces to gardens (part 2) Monday, May 6th or Friday, September 13th During the whole day, a walk through Florence at the discovery of 3 small and precious private gardens that will be opened especially for us by their owners. Lunch at Palazzo Corsini sull Arno (the biggest private palace in Florence), where we will be received by the Contessa Rezia Corsini Miari Return to Villa La Massa and dinner at the Hotel (individual). 5 DAY 6: Villas and Gardens around Florence Tuesday, May 7th or Saturday, September 14th Departure from the hotel and visit of Villa Capponi (private), ancient property of Lady Scott, friend of the Queen Mother (Mother of Elisabeth II). Lunch at Villa Gamberaia (private) followed by the visit of the property in the afternoon Time at leisure in Florence Return to Villa La Massa and farewell dinner (all together). Breakfast and individual departures. DAY 7: Departure Wednesday, May 8th or Sunday, September 15th Please note - dinners (wine included) are counted in the program and foreseen at the hotel: 2 are group dinners (the welcome dinner and the farewell dinner), all the others are individual.

6 FOR INFORMATION AND BOOKING Villa La Massa Mrs. Tamara Trambusti Ph INFORMATION & BOOKING CONDITIONS REGISTRATION The program is reserved to a group of 15 participants due to its exclusive nature (on a first come first served basis). We ask participants to apply within the following deadline: Spring Tour: May 2nd - 8th, 2013 Please register no later than April 2nd, 2013 Autumn Tour: September 9th - 15th, 2013 Please register no later than August 9th, 2013 MODALITY OF PAYMENT The total amount for each tour is: Double Deluxe Room: Euro 6.810,00 (2 persons) Double Deluxe Room: Euro 4.875,00 (1 person) The above rates include accomodation, everything specified in the program except for transportation from/to airport or train station, activities not mentioned in the detailed itinerary, meals not stated on official itinerary, additions or substitutions to meals, incidentals, tips, and gratuities. In order to secure the reservation a non refundable 50% deposit of the total amount is required upon confirmation of the reservation from Villa La Massa. The remaining 50% of the total amount of the tour will be paid by Clients once arrived at the Hotel. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer. The Reservations Office at Villa La Massa will send bank details upon booking confirmation. Should the organization not reach the minimum number of participants to go on air with the program, it will be the hotel s care to refund the requested deposit. This program replaces all previous versions.
