Course Name change from June 2014 Bachelor of Criminology and Justice (previously Bachelor of Social Science Criminal Justice) NCPS specialise in a Bachelor of Criminology and Justice which was previously called the Bachelor of Social Science Criminal Justice. We recommend our Bachelor to those students interested in: Police & Law Enforcement Criminal Law Corrective Services Standard entry requirements No minimum ATAR score required Current Year 12 prerequisites include a study score of at least 25 in units 3 and 4 of English, or equivalent. Applications for Year 12 students are via the VTAC system.

New Courses Bachelor of Counselling The Bachelor of Counselling provides a comprehensive overview of counselling frameworks and skills, ethical practice and cultural diversity. The course provides entry level counselling training with a strong focus on contemporary counselling, psychotherapy and psychology theory, research and practice. Minimum ATAR 70 or equivalent Complete an undergraduate screening questionnaire to demonstrate the relational qualities of the applicant. 3 Bachelor of Counselling (Coaching) The Bachelor of Counselling (Coaching) provides a comprehensive overview of counselling and coaching frameworks and skills, and the capacity to apply this knowledge and skills in professional settings with individuals, groups, work-teams and organisations. Minimum ATAR 65 or equivalent Complete an undergraduate screening questionnaire to demonstrate the relational qualities of the applicant. (Mature Age Entry Available) Application Method: Direct to college Bachelor of Applied Social Science The Bachelor of Applied Social Science aims to ground students in the applied social sciences with a well-developed understanding of social systems, sociological theory, and social policy. The program integrates theory, social research, skills and professional experience, preparing you with critical thinking skills for employment in the workforce in public, private and community settings. 4 Pathways Diploma of Counselling and Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) Diploma graduates can apply for direct entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Applied Social Science, Bachelor of Psychological Science, Bachelor of Counselling (Coaching) or Bachelor of Counselling This pathway is a great option for students that have not met the entry requirements for the Bachelor courses but also for students that are still undecided between a career in Psychology, Counselling or Coaching. Term 3 Enrolments for our September intake are now open. The following intake will be February We offer our own free Literacy and Numeracy test instead of the VETASSESS, and these run most weeks. All applicants need to do is call to book. We also hold free 2-hour Maths Refresher classes if students need to brush up on their maths skills before sitting the test. 5 Pathways A great alternative pathway into the Bachelor of Nursing, as after completing our 18 months course, students can go straight into the 2 nd year of a Bachelor of Nursing. Standard entry requirements Diploma of Nursing: Year 12 Maths and English OR in-house basic literacy and numeracy test Students apply directly to HSA and can apply using our online application form at any time. Direct entry into our course, so ATAR s not applicable. If students passed maths (any maths) and English in Year 12, then no entry test is necessary. 5
