Altrincham Grammar School for Girls (AGGS) was in the first cohort of schools to be designated a National Teaching School in AGGS is the lead school in the Alliance for Learning. Our teaching school alliance comprises schools of every type and phase, plus universities, throughout a wide geographical area. The impact of teaching school activities is felt within the Trust and far beyond. We have a reputation for excellence regionally and nationally, of which we are very proud. These are exciting times for our Teaching School we have grown as an Alliance and have a diverse mix of schools and colleges and an attractive offering across all 6 strands: research & development, leadership potential, CPD, SLEs, school to school support. This role will work closely with the Head of Teaching School to develop, implement and manage the marketing strategy for the Teaching School to ensure it achieves its goals to the highest possible standard. Working with both internal and external stakeholders, the Teaching School Marketing and Communications Lead will work across multiple channels creating and managing marketing collateral for each, embedding our brand. Whilst this new role will predominately focus on helping to shape the marketing strategy of the Teaching School, there will also be opportunity to become involved in the broader marketing approach for BFET to ensure it is all encompassing of our vision and direction. This post will support and develop the marketing, communications and PR of the Teaching School inclusive of SCITT, Maths Hub & Science Learning Partnership.

2 Main Responsibilities To work with key staff to deliver a marketing and communications strategy for the whole TS and BFET incorporating in-market support to deliver against commercial objectives this will include a media strategy and brand development. To create a social media development plan and to execute it across all Teaching School strands and the Maths Hub, focussing on the production of engaging digital content managing online presence, including responsibility for maintaining and updating the TS website and the delivery of effective digital marketing campaigns, integrating our offer and utilising appropriate database. Work with the Head of Teaching School to create an effective school engagement strategy throughout all areas of the business, with the introduction of a comprehensive engagement model tracking the schools journey, from initial contact through to deep engagement with all strands. Represent the marketing and communications team at key meetings and forums, providing guidance as appropriate, escalating issues as required. Effective liaison with third party agencies/external marketing companies to ensure successful delivery of national and international marketing campaigns. Ensure the customer experience is placed at the centre of Teaching School operations To liaise with project partners of the Teaching School, both nationally and internationally. To coordinate Teaching School events and conferences and to accompany the Head of Teaching School to conferences as appropriate. To lead projects and media relations campaigns to grow the Teaching School & BFET reputation in key media, from broadcast to social. To conduct market research and ensure we are constantly able to be at the forefront of a competitive market. Support the TS and BFET internal and external regional, national and global relations through effective partnership and relationship building including oversight of the Teaching School newsletter. Bring, build and maintain excellent working relationships with key journalists. Monitor and identify opportunities arising from planned features in relevant media. Capture and report back to TS leadership on media coverage achieved. Actively seek out relevant Teaching School funding and bid opportunities and support the bid writing process. Manage the marketing budget against targets. Provide executive support for any projects the Head of Teaching School is involved in.
