It includes creatin f algrithms fr discvering infrmative paths, indexing and querying f cmplex semantic relatinships, as well as ranking assciatin results in terms f relevance t the cntext f the query. As a part f the SEMDIS prject, I am wrking n the fllwing: Cnducting research n the prblem f interpreting natural language questins using ntlgies and extracting their answers frm web dcuments and lcal relatinal and semantic databases. I designed the OntQA framewrk that fcuses n the analysis and summarizatin f ntlgies t be able t understand their cntents withut the need t view cmplex RDF r OWL files. T date, ur riginal OntQA publicatin (published in Nvember 2005) has been cited mre than 22 times. The OntQA framewrk was enhanced t include the capabilities t rank ntlgies based n keywrds and ntlgy features that the user specifies. I have als designed the SemanticQA framewrk that utilizes ntlgical knwledge t answer user questins presented in natural English by extracting these answers frm web dcuments and ranking them using different measures. I have als taught the CSCI-1302: Sftware Develpment class that serves as an intensive intrductin t the design and implementatin f significant sftware prjects, as well as an intrductin t OOP, recursin, exceptins, searching, srting, algrithm analysis and ther in Java.
