2 01 Introduction The image of the Copter Brand Copter is a brand with clearly defined values such as service, quality and reliability - a brand which markets and customers rely in. In order to protect the Copter brand and further enhance this position the brand has to present itself strongly and convincingly. For this a consistent public image and a homogenous Corporate Identity are basic essentials. The present Corporate Design Manual for the Copter brand is a guideline for the graphic design and layout of, for instance, all visual materials. With its guidelines and stipulations the Manual represents an optimum basis for in-house product-ions leaving at the same time sufficient leeway for creativity in terms of a professional production of advertising material to graphic artists, advertising agencies, decorators, stand builders, printing offices.
3 02 Basic elements of the Copter brand The brand logo The Copter logo or,corporate signature (word mark and logo) consists of graphic symbol (the plus symbols) and the name,copter. Both these elements of the logo represent a unit which is formally defined as invariable. They must not be shown separately. Name Plus symbols inseparable unit
4 03 Rules & guidelines Minimum distance of the logo to other layout elements Clear area The clear area around the logo is measured by the C -height of the name. Other design features must not protrude in this clear area. Likewise this zone has to be observed for the positioning distance to the margins. IMAGE IMAGE Correct False

7 False colour arrangements Presentation of logo plus icons in a false order Presentation of logo against a background image that is to similar in colour to the plus icons Presentation with too little contrast between logo and background Presentation of logo in a false, randomized colour
8 05 Colours index There are five different brand colours belonging to the Copter brand. They consist of black, white, yellow, orange and red. These are the corporate colours of the Copter brand. 1 COPTER BLACK PMS Pantone Black C CMYK 0, 0, 0, 100 RGB 0, 0, 0 HTML # Caption: PMS = Pantone Matching System, spot colours CMYK = Process-colour printing, 100 colour gradations per channel C = cyan, M = magenta, Y = yellow (Yellow), K = black RGB = Colour sample for monitor display with 256 gradations per channel R = red, G = green, B = blue 2 COPTER WHITE PMS - CMYK 0, 0, 0, 0 RGB 255, 255, 255 HTML #FFFFFF HTML = (in effect Hex-sample) pattem similar to RGB, however with gradations from 00 to FF (hexadecimal) per channel. 9 06 Corporate typeface / Typography Corporate typeface / typography The corporate typeface of Copter is FS Lola. It is employed for all printed materials (posters, brochures, advertisements, static elements on forms and headed papers, business cards, etc.).
