2 Emapa Ltd. CI Book The following CI Book specifies the rules of presenting and placing Emapa s logo. This manual is designed to help Emapa s partners and customers understand how to use the Emapa brand in packaging, point-of-sale displays, advertisements, web-based and other marketing communications promotions. Please note that, no other use of the logo is allowed than specified below. 2

4 1. Logo There are two versions of the logo: a horizontal and a vertical one. The default and preferred version of the logo is the horizontal version. In some cases however (i.e. lack of required horizontal space), use of the vertical version of the logo may be justified. 1.1 Horizontal versions 1.2 Vertical version 4
5 1.3 Logo + strategic slogan Always when possible it is required to use logo accompanied by a slogan: digital maps for business. All words of the slogan need to be written in small letters using following font: Trebuchet, colour grey 60%, size matching the size of the logo according to following rules (where H stands for the height of the logo): 2. Clear space A minimal space between the most outward edge of the logo and any other graphic element (a writing, other logo) must be equal to the logo s height. 5
6 3. Colours CMYK: (0, 50, 90, 0); (0, 95, 100, 0). PANTONE: ORANGE 021 CVC, 1795 CVC. RGB: 241/145/55 (#F19137), 231/55/40 (#E7372B). ORACAL: 032 (ligth red), 036 (pastel orange). MACal 9800 Pro: MACal PRO (Orange), MACal PRO (Regal Red). 4. Colour versions 1 Logo is to be used only on a white (alternatively grey up to grey 15%) or black background. If not specified otherwise (paragraph 7), in case when the background is varied or in different colour, it is required to use a clear space, as mentioned in paragraph Full colour The required and preferred version of the logo is the full colour version: White background Black background 1 As far as colours are concerned the rules of presenting logo for all its the versions (horizontal, vertical, with strategic slogan) are similar. 6
7 4.2 One colour In case of wellgrounded reason making it not possible to use full colour version of the logo, it is required to use one colour version. Depending on the background the logo can be black or white. No other colour sets are permitted. Attention! Each use of one colour version of the logo requires an acceptance of marketing department of Emapa Ltd. White background Black background 5. Minimal logo size A minimal size of the logo is when its height equals 10 mm in print and 15 pixels in electronic version. 6. General rules of logo use DO: Use logo according to rules specified in this CI book. Use clear space. DO NOT: Use logo in colours other than specified and/or without clear space. Change proportion of the logo. 7
8 Change the font (its type, colour, size). 7. Logo placement and usage 7.1 Boxes / packages The following rules should be followed when placing Emapa s identity on any packaging materials: the preferred placement of the logo on the front of the packaging materials is on the bottom right corner; the preferred placement of the logo on the back of the packaging materials is on the bottom right corner; the logo needs to be placed also alongside information about map contents and/or map provider 2 ; always when possible it is required to place next to the logo the Emapa s strategic slogan of: digital maps for business (according to rules specified in paragraph 1.3); a minimal size of the logo is when its height equals 10 mm. 7.2 Maps, applications The following rules should be followed when placing Emapa s identity in an application or on a digital map: the preferred placement of the logo is on the bottom right corner of a map/application window; always when possible it is required to use an appropriate background and a clear space (paragraphs 2 and 4); a size of the logo mustn t be less than when its height equals 15 pixels; an alternative is to substitute the logo with a copyright note: Emapa where in is appropriate year; in this case the copyrights are required to be written in 2 Depending on case Emapa may appear not as a map provider but/but also as a provider of technology. All rules concerning Emapa Ltd. as a map provider apply also in case of all Emapa s products (i.e. MapCenter technology). 8
9 following font: Verdana, 8 p., colour - black 100%; it is the only one exception from the rules specified in paragraphs 2 and 4 of this CI book. 7.3 Websites The following rules should be followed when placing Emapa s identity on websites: the logo needs to be placed also alongside information about map contents and/or map provider 3 ; always when possible it is required to place next to the logo the Emapa s strategic slogan of: digital maps for business (according to rules specified in paragraph 1.3); a minimal size of the logo is when its height equals 15 pixels; colours: #F19137, #E7372B; the logo must link to Marketing and advertising materials The following rules should be followed when placing Emapa s identity on any kind of marketing and advertising materials: in case of POS materials the top right side is preferred; in all other cases (i.e. leaflets, brochures) the bottom right corner is preferred; always when possible it is required to place next to the logo the Emapa s strategic slogan of: digital maps for business (according to rules specified in paragraph 1.3); a minimal size of the logo is when its height equals 10 mm; 3 Depending on case Emapa may appear not as a map provider but/but also as a provider of technology. 10 8. Calibrating The logo needs to be calibrated proportionally, not separating its components and taking into account clear space. This will allow to keep all its visual features. 9. Translation the original, Polish version of the strategic slogan is following: mapy cyfrowe dla biznesu. It is to be translated into English as digital maps for business all words written in small letters (as specified in paragraph 1.3); the name of Emapa in English does not change. 10
