1 June 5, 2015 We Will Celebrate Paying Off Our Worship Center Debt on June 28! Here is some indescribably fun news to share and hear: we have made the final payment on our Worship Center debt! On Sunday, June 28, 2015, we will celebrate before the Lord in our morning worship service. Please plan now to be present so that we can rejoice and praise God together! What a journey this has been for University Hills! We occupied the new Worship Center in It was a $2,800,000 construction project. When our capital funding campaign ended in 2006, our remaining indebtedness was $1,400,000. Since 2006, we have been diligent, disciplined and steady in reducing the debt. Recently, we made a final payment of $198, and have now paid in full for the Worship Center! God enabled us throughout the fourteen year journey. He also provided for the last payment in a big way from the insurance proceeds from the 2014 Fellowship Hall roof collapse. You may already know that we are also anticipating a new construction process. We will be building a new, beautiful Fellowship Hall to help us in sharing congregational life together, expanding our Connect Bible Study ministry, and connecting with and showing hospitality to our community. Through the remainder of this year, the money formerly budgeted for Worship Center mortgage payoff will be set aside each week for the new Fellowship Hall building project. This means that our 2015 budget target and needs will be unchanged by the Worship Center payoff. Though the challenge of a new construction project lies ahead, now is a time of completion and celebration! By God s grace, we have completed a long, rewarding journey. Bless This House provides household items such as beds/ bedding, kitchen and bath supplies, dishes, and furniture in general to help these women to set up their own home. New Book Study Beginning The Adult G Bible Study class will be beginning a book study of Max June 14. If you are not currently involved in a Bible Study class then please join the group at 9:15am in Room 302 (near the choir room) for an engaging study. Cost per rose is again $5.00. If you wish to place one or more roses in the arrangement, complete the order form below and turn in to Avery or Pam Phillips in the Gathering Area on one of the following Sundays: May 31st, June 7th, and June 14th.
