1 WICKLINE S MISSION PATHWAY Our Mission Pathway is how the members of Wickline United Methodist Church of the Vine agree to work together in pursuit of God s mission for the Church. Mission God s mission for Wickline United Methodist Church of the Vine is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The Wickline Way The Wickline Way is how we pursue God s mission, we: 1. VENTURE out beyond our walls with the love of Christ 2. INVITE others into the Wickline family where together we pursue God s will 3. NURTURE each other and the world around us 4. EXALT the Lord with our lives Wickline Theme Verse I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 VINE Goals Wickline s members, leaders, and ministry teams establish annual VINE Goals. These goals are quantifiable measures used to evaluate our successes and failures at accomplishing God s mission. Through this process we hold each other accountable in love for spiritual growth and greater effectiveness at making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Organizational Design* Wickline is organized for optimal missional success through four levels of responsibility: 1. Governance (APEX Team & Church Council) 2. Leadership (Executive Leadership Team) 3. Management (Ministry Area Directors) 4. Ministry (Ministry Teams and Individual Members) *specifics for how all four levels of responsibility are cared for are what follow in this document 1 P age

Makeup: the APEX Team, Executive Leadership Team, Ministry Area Directors, Treasurer, Delegate(s) to Annual Conference, and UMW/UMM/UMYF reps c. Purpose: leading the pursuit of the mission b.
