4 History 15 th November 1962 Port of Wallhamn was founded by Olof Wallenius, Bengt W. Törnqvist and Lars Johansson. June 1971 PDI-plant started operations. September 1992 The operation that is called Carbuilders today was started. 15 th August 2005 Grimaldi Group and EUKOR new owners. 28 th January 1965 M/S Bess First ship to call Wallhamn. January 1982 Johansson-group went bankrupt. Municipality of Tjörn new owners. October 2004 Wallhamn starts PDS and signs contract dealership Svenska Bil. June 2009 Grimaldi Group becomes sole owner.
