3 Gävle kommun Gävle Municipality Group in brief The Gävle Municipality Group has eight administrative centres, four wholly-owned companies and a number of interest companies and municipal associations. The Group is the region s major employer, with around 7000 employees. In 2010, the Group s turnover was SEK 7.4 billion. Its activities are broad and cover everything from educational activities and healthcare to the environment, roads and water. You can fish for salmon and trout for free in the middle of the city.
