2 Hello KBA! Welcome to August! I have to confess this is one of my most favorite times of the year! School is back in, leaves start to change colors and I am ready for round two of growing my business! Did I mention school is back in! Let me start off this month s news letter with a little bit of bragging! I am so proud of our KBA membership and how everyone came to the table and showered our teachers with all types of goodies, gift cards and support! Our annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, which was started by our very own past president, David Grant, was a smashing success! I can t begin to describe how grateful the teachers were about having the support of their business community as they move into the new school year. Not only does KBA do great business ya ll also have a true servant s heart! Awesome job everyone! This month KBA will begin to kick off our business development program with educational classes at KSU and our professional consultations. We will have a full schedule of the FREE classes you can sign up for and also the dates on when we will be assigning the professional consultations at our next luncheon. Make sure you take advantage of this program! I know I will be! In September we have our ever famous Taste of Kennesaw! This is an incredible event that is the perfect way to spend time with family and friends while eating a whole lot of food! We will have over 40 restaurants to sample, live entertainment and an evening concert. This year we have also added the Carrabba s Culinary Cook-off! We have 3 seniors from our local high schools who will be cooking for a chance to win a $3000 college scholarship! You will not want to miss these young chef s in action! Don t forget, all proceeds from the Taste of Kennesaw are donated to 6 local charities! Just one more way KBA is showing the love for our community! Before I close out this month s letter I want to thank KBA Members Eric Yonge and Miller Finch for being our guest speakers at July s 5th Tuesday Luncheon. Both Eric and Miller hit it out of the park on how we can improve our branding and social media campaigns! I just wish we had more time to hear all their ideas and strategies! Thank you KBA Members, Board of Directors, JRM Management and Sponsors for making our organization the best business association around! It is an honor to work and serve with you! Have a terrific month! Take care, Laura Ann Hart KBA President 2012

4 Face-to-face meetings will always be important, but the cost of these meetings can be high both in terms of time and out-of-pocket expenses. Video conferencing is a terrific alternative, and now with our HD video conferencing capabilities, the technology has moved past the days of grainy, jerky movements and into today s high-definition world. At our Kennesaw video conferencing studio, you can connect with other video conferencing locations, and even connect to colleagues in remote locations that only have a Skype capability. Impact Executive Offices are flexible, convenient, and functional. Pick your term, and be up and running in your new office in 24 hours or less. VOIP phone systems allow you to take the office with you at home, on the road, down the interstate. Technology working for you, rather than frustrating you. Professionally furnished offices that will impress your clients and your employees. Convenient: close to the intersection of Cobb and Barrett Parkways, with quick access to interstates 75 and 575, Marietta, and the north and west areas of Cobb County. Meeting space is an integral part of the services offerings from Impact Executive Offices. We offer a variety of room sizes to accommodate your meeting, training, and video-conferencing requirements. We also can provide high definition audio video services to enhance your conference or meeting message. HD projection systems, HD monitors, and comfortable rooms improve your productivity. As a client, you have an online reservation system that allows you to book a room any time. All our meeting rooms can be booked by the hour, day, and week. All our rooms have VOIP phone systems and wireless internet connections to maximize your productivity. Despite the pace of change in business today, there are still some fundamental maxims that apply to the way you do your business. Your clients and partners want to know that you have a substantial base of operations. Yes, our phones, laptops, and tablets make us mobile, but somewhere you need an anchor, a place to call the office. We are that place! Virtual offices fit the mobile mode of business today, and give you the option of a permanent address, receptionist, and business services facility that you can access easily. We have our Board Room, Conference Room, and Day Offices available by the hour, day, or week! Our Mailbox program gives you a bona fide business address. While you are on an airplane or closing a deal in another part of the world, we can sign for those overnight packages, call you to tell you about an important courier delivery, and regarding that payment you were expecting. Our Virtual Receptionist program provides your company with a service that is very unexpected these days: telephone calls that are answered by a live receptionist! We provide a telephone number, and calls to that number are then answered with your company s personalized, professional greeting. Calls can be forwarded to your home office or cell phone, and messages from phone calls can be sent to your for the ultimate in convenience. The Office on the Go program takes our Mailbox and Virtual Receptionist programs and adds 8 hours a month of office use. With any of our plans, you can add a Phone on the Go plan where you can take your phone with you and avoid the cost and duplication of a second business phone line! The phone will work as a standalone, plugged into a high-speed Internet router, or you can use your laptop with a headset in a softphone application.
