2 RESEARCH PROJECTS AND INTERESTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FOUNDATION FOR CENTER FOR RESEARCH OF WHALES AND FOUNDATION TUJENGE JAMII Stoves for Africans-- This is connected with the newly formed non-profit Tujenge Jamii which is working to bring sustainable living to rural populations in Kenya, Africa. Project Elasmo An environmental education research study to monitor the behavior and tagging of manta rays off the coast of Ecuador and encourage eco-system sustainability. Books for Kids A program aimed to provide environmental reading materials to the students in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador.. Pingers--- This project is working towards establishing a solution to dolphins incidentally caught in fishing nets off the coast of Ecuador. Environmental Education--- Focused on increasing environmental education in the public school system of the province of Manabi in the city of Puerto Lopez, Ecuador. UNIVERSITY COURSES CURRENTLY TEACHING COLLEGE OF EDUCATION #RES 871/Grand Canyon University. This course encompasses a student s Dissertation experience from start to finish. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION #RES861/Grand Canyon University. This course teaches doctoral candidates to view existing research and how to analyze. Within this course they begin to develop their literature review for their dissertation. COLLEGE OF EDUCATION #RES811/Grand Canyon University. This is the first course in the doctorate level program at GCU and focused on an introduction to graduate studies, APA, library research etc. EDUC 735 Problems in Education University of Wisconsin-Stout This is the capstone course at University of Wisconsin where students conducted their research for the MSED program. EDUC726/Portfolio Development University of Wisconsin Stout This course is a required course in the MSED program at Stout. It focuses on students building an Online Portfolio and addressing various elements connected with their overall learning to that of National Board Standards.
