Recruited and selected as teacher trainer for instructional topics including teacher questioning techniques, teaching for critical thinking, and hands-on science instruction. Trainer for district initiatives including Outcomes Based Education, Quality Performance Accreditation, and technology integration. Taught Grades 3-6 in open classroom setting. Served as member of district social studies curriculum and health insurance committees. I have long been interested in the impact that adult professional learning, collegiality and collaboration have on development of organizational culture and on academic achievement and success of students. I am also interested in exploring the link between university-based school leadership preparation programs and actual scope, expectations, and daily practice of the contemporary principalship.
