Facilitated weekly fathers' support group Assistant Director, Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C) of Dane County. 4-C is a private, nonprofit United Way Agency that helps parents locate child care, helps day care providers through training and technical assistance and provides the community with public policy and planning information and assistance. At 4-C my duties included major responsibility for the preparation of surveys and planning documents, writing and editing a monthly newsletter on community activities and information for family day care providers and a wide range of technical assistance functions to both day care centers and family day care homes. I staffed the fundraising committee of the 4-C Board and assisted the executive director in the drafting and preparation of grant applications. I also managed a Job Training and Partnership Act (JTPA) project that trained low income individuals to become family day care providers and a Venture Grant program that provided day care funding to low income families involved in training programs and seeking employment Administrative Assistant, Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services, Madison. Participated in the planning and implementation of a statewide network of over 750 volunteers and 54 social service coordinating agencies that distributed two million pounds of surplus commodities to the needy each month. Oversaw all financial and inventory records, monitored agency contracts, coordinated monthly deliveries, handled correspondence, etc Research Assistant/Project Assistant, University
3 of Wisconsin-Madison. Conducted and supervised field research in an international, cross-cultural study of the child's developing conception of fairness ("distributive justice"). Investigated appropriate funding sources and helped prepare a grant application. Analyzed data and wrote up all findings for publication. Presented paper at professional conference and taught occasional classes Prepared multi-media educational materials (videotapes and student materials) for use in undergraduate courses in Human Development taught by the Educational Psychology Department, University of Wisconsin-Madison Teaching Assistant, University of Wisconsin- Madison. Conducted field research in attentional factors in children's learning and children's knowledge about their memory abilities.
