3 1. Outlook 2003 Software Configuration STEP 1: Verify the requirements for RPC over HTTP: A. Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 B. Outlook 2003 C. Press More Settings and wait for 2,5 minutes (timeout): - When a popup Connect to appears immediately, press Cancel. - If the Connect to screen does not appear with the possibility to press Cancel, press OK in the error message. Press Check Name, and then Cancel when a popup with Connect to appears. - The following screen will show up. E. Click on the tab Connection and select Connect to my exchange mailbox using HTTP. F. Click the button Exchange Proxy Settings. 4

5 G. Under Connection Settings fill in: exchange.cysonet.com H. Select Mutually authenticate the session when connecting with SSL. I. At Principal name for proxy server fill in: msstd:exchange.cysonet.com J. Select On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP. K. Select On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP. L. Select Basic Authentication from the dropdown menu at Proxy authentication settings. M. Press the button OK. N. Press the button Apply and then click OK. O. Press the button Next and then click Finish. STEP 4: Start Outlook and confirm the password. 5

7 2. Migration of from Outlook Express & other applications STEP 1: Export and import Outlook Express messages in Outlook A. In the menu, click File -> Export -> Messages. B. Select the Folders you want to export. C. Press the OK button. 7

Press the button Browse -> Select the location where your PST files is saved -> click the button Next. 8

10 3. Using Outlook 2003 to send from more addresses STEP 1: Configuration of extra addresses in Outlook A. In the menu, click Tools -> Accounts. B. Select under -> View or Change existing accounts -> Click the button Next. C. Click the button Add -> Select POP3 -> Click the button Next. D. Fill in your first name, last name and address. E. Under Incoming Mail Server (POP3) fill in: test F. Under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) fill in: mail1.exchange.cysonet.com G. Press the button More Settings. 10

12 STEP 2: Setting Outlook to use more than one reply address. A. In the menu click Tools -> Send/Receive -> Send/Receive Settings -> Define Send/Receive Groups. B. Click the button Edit. C. Select your new account. D. Uncheck: Receive Mail Items. E. Click the button OK -> Close. STEP 3: Verify your settings. A. Create a new message in Outlook B. By using the button Accounts, your can use your new reply address. 12

Exchange 2003 Mailboxes Microsoft will stop supporting Exchange 2003 mailboxes in 2014 as it comes to the end of it s life. To maintain our levels of support and performance of all our customers, we will
