4 Dear Fellow Greeks, We are so excited to bring back Greek Week! This has been an event that we have planned and worked on for four long months, and we are hoping Greek Week will bring each of your teams laughter, memories, and a lot of Greek spirit. We are passionate about bringing unity to the UNF Greek Community; therefore, each team is comprised of chapters from each of the four councils on campus: Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Council (PC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC). This year s Greek Week theme is Greek Gods. The team to win Greek Week 2015 will be announced after the Greek Week Strolling Competition on Friday, October 16 th in the Lazzara. While competition is encourage, we ask that your teams hold themselves to a high standard of sportsmanship. To ensure that the rules and descriptions of the events are clear, we have assigned 3 Greek Ambassadors to each team. They will serve as your liaison between your team and the rest of the Greek Ambassadors as well as the OFSL staff. In addition we are asking for each team to select two representatives that will serve as liaisons between the team and the Greek Ambassadors. If there is any problems for one team, the two team liaisons will be the first team members contacted by either the Greek Ambassadors or OFSL staff. The scoring for each event is explained further in the packet. Please read each event description carefully. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask one of your Greek Ambassador liaisons. Further questions can be answered during the Greek Week Informational meeting on Monday, September 28 th at 7 p.m. in the ballrooms. Please remember the purpose of this week is to bring the Greek Community together. Good luck to all the teams and get ready for great week! Sincerely, The 2015 Greek Ambassadors 4

9 How Scoring Works: - Each event is worth a different amount of points. - Points are given for placing in events, having the highest attendance based on percentage and having the most creative costumes. It varies each event so make sure to read the point breakdowns carefully. - The team with the highest amount of points at the end of the week will be named the Winner of Greek Week Points can be deducted if there is inappropriate behavior and/or any violations of the Greek Week rules. 10 Time: 7:00 p.m. -9:00p.m. Where: Student Union Auditorium Participants: In order to participate there must be a representative from each organization on your team present at Family Feud, and the maximum players for a team is 5. The exception being the NPHC/MGC organizations that are made up of 1 person who may have class conflicts. How it will work: Greek Feud will be modeled closely after the TV Show Family Feud. The teams competing will be drawn at random and this will create 3 sets of competitions and the winner from each of those 3 sets will advance to the next round, then again picked at a random for the next round the winner from that will play the remaining team. Rounds will continue until a team reaches 200 points. After all teams the teams compete a winner will be crowned. The community has been polled prior to the game so top answers will be shown on the board, which we have created using a computer program. The Questions: Questions will be a mix of UNF related, Greek Life related and random everyday questions that you would see on the Family Feud TV show. Fast Money Round: In the final round of play the teams will have the opportunity to earn extra points through the Fast Money Round. During the round each team will select two players to compete. One player will be outside while the other competes and vice versa. The object is to guess the top answer for each question, and if the first player does not get the highest amount of points the second player has a chance to receive more points for the team. Fast Money Round players will be decided on the night of the game and do not have to be turned in early with the list of players for the team. Points: -1 st Place: 500 pts and VIP seating for the Stroll Competition - 2 nd Place: 300 pts. - Highest Attendance: 200 pts. - Cohesive Team Costume: 100 pts. 10
