2 CityLive A pre-season party like no other that will allow you to get closer to the first team and our new manager, be entertained by one of the hottest music acts and have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes, along with further surprises and very special guests from the world of sport and entertainment. The Venue When is City Live? City Live will take place on Thursday 8 August Where is City Live taking place? City Live is being held at Manchester Central Convention Complex, Petersfield, Manchester M2 3GX. The main event space is the Central Hall. To access this space please use Central Foyer, the main entrance to Manchester Central. What time does City Live start? Doors open at 6pm and the event is due to start at 7.30pm with a finish time of 10.30pm. How can I get to the venue? By Metrolink: The closest Metrolink station to the venue is St Peter s Square, from there Manchester Central is located just behind the Midland Hotel. You cannot use your Metrolink Matchday Season Ticket for this event. By Train: By Car: The closest station to Manchester Central is Oxford Road station, just a 5-minute walk. If using a satellite navigation system, please follow the postcode M2 3GX. The on-site NCP car park is open 24 hours and has 720 spaces, including 18 disabled parking bays, and there is direct access to Manchester Central by lift, stairs and escalator. Is the venue all seated or can I stand? You will be provided with a reserved seat with the best available seat allocated at the point of purchase. Subject to demand there may be an option for us to release a limited number of standing tickets for this event, further information will be announced on the website. Is there a dress code? No, there is no dress code for City Live. Can I bring my own food and drink? No. The venue has a strict no food/drink to be brought onsite policy. There will be checks at the doors to ensure that no-one is bringing in their own food or drink. Food and drink are available to purchase from concessions within the venue. 3 Is alcohol available to purchase at venue? Yes, alcohol is available to purchase within Manchester Central and if purchased must be consumed within the premises. No alcohol will be allowed outside of the main hall. Photo ID may be required. Tickets Who can purchase a ticket for City Live? Priority ticket access will be given to all 2013/14 season Superbia, Platinum and Gold Seasoncard holders along with 2013/14 season corporate members from 9am, Thursday 11 th July. Subject to availability, all remaining tickets will go on sale at 9am, Friday 12 th July. How much is a ticket? There are a few ticket options available. General Admission tickets are priced at 25 and 30 for adults, concession prices are available for juniors (under 16) and over 65s priced at 20 and 25. All prices are per person. All children over 2-years are required to have their own seat at this event, so a ticket must be purchased. What are the ticket options available? General Admission: offers a reserved seat, allocated on a first come, first served basis. The 25 ( 20 for concessions) tickets are located the furthest away from the stage and the 30 ( 25 for concessions) are located closer to the front. The venue offers a great view from all seats and there will be a stage and screen to ensure that everyone enjoys the event. Are there any age restrictions? There are no age restrictions however children under 18-years must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18-years). We would ask all supporters to consider the suitability of this event for children under 5-years. There will be flashing lights, strobe lighting and loud music. Whilst we endeavour to control this as best we can, some of the language may not be suitable for children. The event is also expected to last approx. 4hrs which may impact on their enjoyment. Children over 2-years are required to have their own seat for this event, so a ticket must be purchased for them. How can I purchase tickets? General Admission: Online* at by calling +44 (0) (option 1, 1, 2) (24hr, booking fee applies**) or in-person at the Stadium Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the City Store. N.B. Disabled supporters cannot purchase online. Please call the disabled ticket line on +44 (0) (option 1, 1, 1) or visit the Stadium Ticket Office. * an 8% booking fee will apply to the purchase of each ticket plus a fee of 1.50 per transaction. ** a booking fee of 2.50 (including VAT) will apply to the purchase of each ticket. 4 How many tickets can I purchase? Supporters aged 18-years and over may purchase a maximum of 6 tickets, across both categories of tickets. All tickets are sold subject to availability and allocated on a first come, first served basis. Do I get a discount if I buy more than one ticket? No, there are no discounted prices and there are no concession prices available for this event. Is there a family ticket available for this event? No, there are no family ticket offers for this event and each supporter attending must purchase and be in possession of a valid ticket in-line with the sales criteria. When can I expect to receive my tickets? Tickets will be sent by first class post to the address we hold on the system. We would expect to be in a position to post your tickets to you no later than 5-working days before the event. If you have not received your General Admission tickets by Monday 5 August 2013, please contact the Supporter Services team on +44 (0) (option 1,3) who will be happy to assist. Please note: Your tickets will be sent to the address we held on the system at the point you purchase. Supporters that have moved house after this date must ensure that they have set up a mail redirect with Royal Mail. I m unable to make the event, can I get a refund? Unfortunately no refunds are given for tickets purchased for this event, unless the event is cancelled by MCFC and then a full refund will be given. Do I receive loyalty points when I purchase tickets for this event? No, loyalty points are not awarded for this event. Accessible Information Are there any discounts for disabled tickets? No, however any supporter that is in receipt of a free personal assistant ticket at the Etihad Stadium will receive a free carer ticket for this event. Is there a specific area for disabled supporters to watch from? All ambulant supporters can sit anywhere in the venue with their personal assistant (subject to qualification and requirement) to enjoy the event. If, for any reason, any ambulant supporter feels they have more specific seating requirements (a certain area, block or row) they should advise the Service Advisor at the point of sale and every effort will be made to accommodate such requests, subject to availability. Wheelchair bays will be available within each price category, with a carer seat adjacent to the bay. We will endeavour to sell you additional seats where the wheelchair supporter is part of a group, up to a maximum of six tickets but this is subject to availability and we cannot guarantee that you will be able to secure a seat together. 5 The main event space is Central Hall. This is located on the ground floor/street level and can be accessed via the main entrance. The entrances are fully accessible and the foyer entrances are sensor-activated. What provision is made for assistance dogs? The venue welcomes assistance dogs. Please ensure the Service Advisor is made aware at the point of sale and we will liaise with the venue on your behalf. Is disabled car parking available at the venue? There is an NCP (National Car Park) directly below Manchester Central that is open 24 hours a day all year round. It has 720 spaces including, 18 disabled parking bays and there is direct access to Manchester Central by lift, stairs and escalator. The height restriction for this car park is 1.98m. City Live is a new and exciting event for MCFC. It combines the introduction of our new player signings and new manager with the traditional Player Awards, music performances and comedy sets. In addition to the main evening event, City In The Community will be hosting an activity area on the forecourt outside of Manchester Central throughout the afternoon. What activities are CITC running? City In The Community will be running skills sessions for people of all ages and abilities to participate in. In addition to this there will be football freestylers showing off their talents and the chance to meet former players. Do I have to pay for the City In The Community activity? Not at all, this activation area is free of charge. If you wish to make a donation to CITC, then you are more than welcome and there will be collection buckets available. Thank you in advance to all supporters that do, no matter how small, all donations are greatly appreciated and are put to great use. Will I be able to meet the players/new manager? There is no guarantee that you will be able to meet the manger, the players or the backroom staff. Will there be signing opportunities at City Live? There are no planned signing sessions at this event. Will other celebrities be in attendance? As part of our planned evening s entertainment there may well be some MCFC celebrity supporters either taking part on stage or as an audience member. There is no designated time for supporters to meet these guests. Who else is going to perform at City Live? Comedian Jason Manford will be part of this great event. 6 How do I vote for a player to win an award in the Players Awards section? If you visit you will see all the ways that you can get involved in choosing the players that win the awards on the night. How do I submit a question for the manager? If you visit you will see how you can submit your question to Manuel Pellegrini. Please be aware that only a selection of questions will be used on the night. How can I get involved in the event? Via any of our social channels twitter, facebook or mcfc.co.uk you ll see regular updates of new announcements, competitions and other areas that supporters can get involved in. Terms and Conditions All tickets are sold subject to availability and issued subject to Manchester City Football Club s Terms and Conditions of Sale and Manchester Central Terms and Conditions of Sale (available upon request). Important Information Prohibited Items The following items are not allowed to be brought in to Manchester Central: Golf umbrellas or any article that may be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Professional recording equipment (audio and visual). Bags larger than A4 size. Prams and pushchairs Smoking Please note that Manchester Central is smoke free and there will not be an opportunity to leave and re-enter the venue.
