1 Annual EEO Public File Report Form Stations KXLN-DT KFTH-DT - KLAT (AM) - KLTN (FM) - KOVE (FM) - KAMA (FM) KQBU (FM) - KPTY (FM) (March 22, March 27, 2015) The purpose of this EEO Public File Report ( Report ) is to comply with Section (c)(6) of the FCC s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station(s): KXLN-DT, KFTH-DT, KLAT (AM), KLTN (FM) KOVE (FM), KAMA (FM), KQBU (FM), and KPTY (FM) are required to be placed in the public inspection files of these stations, and posted on their websites, if they have websites. Television broadcast stations KXLN-DT and KFTH-DT historically have comprised a separate employment unit from the commonly owned radio broadcast stations, KLAT (AM), KLTN (FM) KOVE (FM), KAMA (FM), KQBU (FM), and KPTY (FM). However, effective as of September 1, 2014, as part of a corporate reorganization that resulted in the stations sharing one or more employees, the KXLN-DT and KFTH-DT employment unit was consolidated with the KLAT (AM), KLTN (FM) KOVE (FM), KAMA (FM), KQBU (FM), and KPTY (FM) employment unit. The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning March 22, 2014 to and including March 27, 2015 (the Applicable Period ). The FCC s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information: 1. A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period; 2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section (c)(1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number; 3. The recruitment source that referred the hire for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period; 4. Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and 5. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section (c)(2) of the FCC rules. Appendices 1, 2 and 3 which follow have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required information. 17 Appendix 3 to Annual EEO Public File Report Form Covering the Period from March 22, 2014 to March 27, 2015 The following sets forth the supplemental outreach conducted by the stations KXLN-DT, KFTH-DT, KLAT (AM), KLTN (FM), KOVE (FM), KAMA (FM), KQBU (FM), and KPTY (FM) both before and after the combination of the stations into a single employment unit effective as of September 1, Although the employment unit was comprised of two separate employment units for a significant portion of the reporting period, during the reporting period a representative from the television broadcast stations and a representative from the radio broadcast stations participated in the following supplemental outreach activities together: Supplemental (Non Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken by KXLN-DT, KFTH-DT, KLAT (AM), KLTN (FM), KOVE (FM), KAMA (FM), KQBU (FM), and KPTY (FM) The employment unit listed openings with the Texas Association of Broadcasters, a job bank of a media trade group with broad-based membership (including women and minorities). On May 18, 2014, the stations hosted the 33 rd Annual Festival de Mayo at the Reliant Center. In addition to hosting the event, we also participated with a booth. We included information about employment opportunities available. Various hiring managers and department heads were present at the booth from time to time through the day to speak with applicants about broadcasting and open positions within our radio station. We had information sheets accessible to the public containing information about Univision Radio, including HR contact information. On June 24, 2014, Norma Amaya, Senior HR Generalist, provided Department Head Managers an Effective Hiring Practices Training in our office building from 10:00 am 11:30 am. Hiring Managers were provided with a framework and toolkit to find the right candidate in the right time. They learned ways to streamline recruiting process as they go from hundreds of resumes to a great hire, learn effective, proven interviewing techniques to find ideal candidate, learn the golden rules of effective hiring and become aware of potential landmines during hiring process. On September 25, 2014, the stations participated in the Houston Hire Me Now Job Fair in the BBVA Compass Stadium from 9:00 am 2:00 pm; Nestor Enriquez, Activation Promotions Manager and Ruth Rodriguez, Office Manager were in attendance On February 14, 2015, the stations participated in the Houston Hispanic Forum Career and Education Day 2015 at the George R. Brown Convention Center from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. In attendance were Alberto Rodriguez, Production Creative Director, Osvaldo Corral, News Anchor Reporter, Grace Olivares, Community Empowerment Director and Nestor Enriquez, Activation Promotions Manager.
