Hosts solo and selected shows by emerging artists. Paul Marks selects artists for solo shows which last between 4 to 8 weeks. Wall based works and sculpture predominate. The aim is to establish a good working relationship with a small number of artists whose work can be shown once a year. In addition curators will be invited to organise group shows.mdimensions: 7m x 5m. Being an arch it has quite a high apex. In addition BEARSPACE has an exclusive viewing room in Greenwich where new works by gallery artists can be viewed by appointment. Artists are selected for their response to contemporary culture and philosophy, with a conceptual and narrative framework to their work. BEARSPACE prides itself on discovering really interesting artists early on in their career, and promoting them through gallery exhibitions, art fairs, curated exhibitions and collaborations. Young and inexperienced artists are welcome to apply for exhibition space. Some have already secured a strong position in the 'Gallery Artists' section with impressive success. They share the section with artists who have already established themselves in the contemporary gallery circuit and both combine to offer a formidable collection of work. The gallery always try to show only artists most recent work, believing this starting point offers a poignant alternative to the accepted curatorial process. Take Courage now produces oneweek exhibitions once a month and are always looking for talented curators and artists.
