3 Overview The implementation of Responsive Design will enable SACWIS users to access the application on a variety of authorized mobile devices as well as multiple computer browsers. To accommodate the smaller screen sizes of mobile devices, several design changes have been incorporated into the SACWIS screens. This article describes the common design/functionality changes on SACWIS screens due to the implementation of Responsive Design. Important: New style sheets were incorporated as a part of Build As such, the application may not render properly the first time. In order to see the effects of the style changes you will need to clear your browser cache as explained in the section below. Clearing Your Browser Cache Before your first log-in to Build 3.02, follow the steps in the appropriate section below to clear your browser cache. This should cause the new style sheets incorporated in Build 3.02 to render the application properly in your desktop or mobile browser. Clearing the Browser Cache on Your Desktop IE, Chrome, or Firefox In order to clear your Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox browser cache on your computer desktop, please complete the following steps: 1. Open your browser. 2. Click anywhere in your browser window to make it the Active window. 3. On your keyboard, press the key combination Ctrl+Shift+Del. Your browser displays a pop-up window. Follow the appropriate steps below to ensure that you select the proper option to clear only the cache in your browser. Page 3 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

4 4. If you are using the Internet Explorer browser: Click the Temporary Internet files and website files checkbox in the pop-up window as shown below. 5. Click the Delete button. The pop-up window disappears and Internet Explorer deletes the specified files to clear your cache. Page 4 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

5 6. If you are using the Chrome browser: Click the Cached images and files checkbox in the pop-up window as shown below. 7. Click the Clear browsing data button. The pop-up window disappears and Chrome deletes the specified files to clear your cache. Page 5 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

6 8. If you are using the Firefox browser: Click the Cache checkbox in the pop-up window as shown below. 9. Click the Clear Now button. The pop-up window disappears and Firefox deletes the specified files to clear your cache. Page 6 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

7 Clearing the Browser Cache on Your Desktop Safari In order to clear your Safari browser cache on your computer desktop, please complete the following steps: 1. Click Safari in the upper left-hand side of your screen. A menu appears. 2. Click the Preferences option in the menu. A window appears. 3. Click the Privacy tab in the window. 4. Click the Remove All Website Data button. A pop-up window appears. 5. Click Remove Now in the pop-up window. Safari deletes the specified files to clear your cache. 8 Clearing the Safari Browser Cache on ipad or iphone In order to clear your Safari browser cache on your ipad or iphone, please complete the following steps: 1. Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your ipad or iphone. 2. Scroll down and tap on Safari. 3. Scroll down all the way to the bottom and tap on Advanced. 4. Tap on Website Data. 5. Scroll down all the way to the bottom again and tap on Remove All Website Data. Safari deletes the specified files to clear your cache. Clearing the Google Chrome Browser Cache on ipad, iphone, or ipod Touch In order to clear your Google Chrome browser cache on your ipad, iphone, or ipod Touch, please complete the following steps: 1. Open Google Chrome on your ipad, iphone, or ipod Touch. 2. Tap the Options Box in the top right of the screen. 3. Tap Settings. 4. Tap Privacy > Clear Cache. 9 Home and Search Buttons The Home and Search links on the SACWIS Home screen have been replaced by Home and Search buttons: Each button provides two options for navigation: Click the main body of the Home button to navigate to the SACWIS Home screen. Click the main body of the Search button to navigate to the Person Search screen. Or click the drop-down arrow portion of the button to select from the drop-down list: Page 9 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

10 Online Help The Help hyperlink has been replaced by a Help button located near the top right corner of the screen: Due to the location of the Help button, the Help & Training link is no longer located at the top of the screen. 11 Ticklers A new Ticklers tab has been added to the SACWIS Home screen. Click the Ticklers tab to display the list of Cases, Persons, or Providers for which Ticklers exist. The following example shows the list of Cases for which there are ticklers: To display the list of Persons or Providers for which ticklers exist, select the appropriate option in the Filter By field and click the Filter button: Page 11 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

12 The examples below show the lists of Persons and Providers for which ticklers exist: Note: Each case/person/provider entry in the list is a hyperlink. The number displayed at the end of a case/person/provider entry (shown in green above) represents the total number of ticklers for that case, person, or provider. To drill down to view tickler details: 1. On the Ticklers screen, click the hyperlink for a case/person/provider. The list of ticklers for that case, person, or provider appears. Each tickler entry in the list is a hyperlink. The example below shows the Case Ticklers screen. Page 12 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

13 2. Click a specific tickler hyperlink to view the Tickler Detail screen. The Tickler Detail screen displays tickler details and hazard information for the selected tickler, as shown in the following example: 3. As shown in red above, the details screen also displays relevant View buttons. If desired, click a View button to jump to the Person, Case, Provider, or Activity Log. Note: The Record Activity button is available for certain visitation ticklers. Clicking this button launches the Add Activity Log functionality with relevant details pre-filled. 14 Person Profile Links The links at the top of the Person Profile screen have been moved to a Navigation pane on the left side of the screen: Show / Hide the Navigation Pane Any SACWIS screen that displays a Navigation pane also displays a Show / Hide button above the pane. This button allows you to toggle the display of the Navigation pane: When you click the Show / Hide button to Hide the Navigation pane, the screen expands wider but the Show / Hide button still displays at the top left of the screen: When you click the Show / Hide button again, the Navigation pane displays again: Page 14 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

15 Calendar for Date Fields The Calendar icon beside date fields displays as a black icon: When you click the icon, the Calendar displays as shown below: Functionality changes include the following: Month and Year drop-down lists allow you to select a different month and/or year, if needed (shown in green below). The left and right arrow buttons (shown in blue below) change the calendar to the previous month and the next month. The Close button has been moved to the bottom of the calendar. 16 Moving Selected Items between List Fields (Push Boxes) The functionality for moving selections between list fields (push boxes) has been changed. The Add, Add All, Remove, and Remove All buttons have been replaced by hyperlinks. The Add All and Add hyperlinks are located at the top of the available selections box (shown in red below). The Remove and Remove All hyperlinks are located at the top of the selected box (shown in green below). Note: An Add or Remove hyperlink may be disabled (grayed out) if a box is empty or if no item(s) in the box have been selected (shown in green in the example above). When you select an item in the box, the hyperlink becomes enabled. Page 16 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

17 Selecting Reports on the Reports Tab The functionality for selecting a report on the Administration tab > Reports tab has been changed: The report hyperlink on the far right side of each report row has been removed. Each Report Name is now a hyperlink. Click the desired Report Name hyperlink to display the Report Details screen for the report. Page 17 of 18 Last Revised: 03/16/2016

18 Directions Link on Case Workload A new Directions hyperlink has been added to the Case Workload screen. When you click the + button to expand a case entry, the Directions hyperlink displays next to the case address: Click the Directions hyperlink to display a new window with a map and directions for the address in Google Maps.
