The venue plays host to exceptional events including dinner-dances, award ceremonies, champagne receptions, presentations and product launches. This purpose-built space has its own stage and projection facilities, as well as an in-house PA system for speeches. The venue s mezzanine level, where costumes and artefacts are displayed, provides a perfect pre-dinner reception area. A grand sweeping staircase leads to the main room where the permanent exhibition brings Shakespeare s world to life using a combination of modern technology and traditional crafts. A movable wall within the venue displays a large tapestry and serves to divide or reduce the space to suit your needs and guest numbers. Wheelchair accessible throughout. Smoking areas provided.

This first-floor dining room overlooks both the main theatre entrance gates and the Thames. With spectacular riverside views, your party will enjoy dining provided by our in-house catering team. 3 Balcony Room A stunning, flexible space overlooking the River Thames. The Balcony Room is ideal for meetings, seminars, presentations, dinners and receptions. Our most popular space offers spectacular views of St.Paul s Cathedral, the City of London and the Millennium Bridge. French windows can be opened on to the room s private balcony overlooking the river. A second balcony looks out on to the Globe Theatre and piazza area. Although self contained, the Balcony Room is often used in conjunction with the Founders Foyer. This space provides a perfect reception, registration or catering area. The Balcony Room is available for daytime (9am to 5pm) and evening hire (6pm to 11pm) throughout the year. 20, with catering required.
4 Founders Foyer Ideal as a breakout or catering space for your event in the Balcony Room, the Founders' Foyer is arranged on an open mezzanine level within the main foyer. Your party can make the most of a vibrant theatre atmosphere whilst enjoying the privacy of this separate area. The Founders Foyer lends itself particularly well to drinks receptions or buffets. The Nancy W Knowles Lecture Theatre is accessible via the Orange Room a breakout space which offers a separate reception area for welcoming guests and catering. 7 Live Music in the UnderGlobe Live traditional music played on period instruments creates a wonderfully authentic atmosphere. Your guests will be collected and taken to the theatre, where one of our story-teller guides will bring the unique space to life. Guests will disover the world of Elizabethan Bankside, where gambling dens and bear-baiting entertained the crowds alongside the playhouses. They will find out how special effects were produced in Shakespeare s time, from thunder and lightning to realistic fight scenes, and will learn about the traditional crafts and techniques used to rebuild the Globe.
