ALIA s New Graduates Group has been a leader in the new wave of professional engagement, joined by international associations such as IFLA s New Professionals Discussion Group and the ALA New Members Round Table. We are making our presence felt at conferences and in ALIA policy, spearheaded by the ALIA New Graduates Policy and Advisory Group. The ALIA New Librarians Symposium is the primary calendar event for this group. Past events have been hugely successful, inspiring a whole new generation of information professionals. 13 THE FINE PRINT - PLEASE READ! Satchel inserts All satchel inserts are limited to A4 size and a maximum of 6 pages long unless otherwise negotiated. We strongly encourage you to be creative with your inserts - we may even be more flexible for those offering something different! Trade exhibition booths Trade booths measure 3x2m. Included in the price is the shell, two lights, one power point and fascia company name display. Additional furniture may be hired directly with the exhibition hire company at the sponsor s expense. We are limited to a relatively small number of exhibition booths - we advise you to get in early. Speaking opportunities We know how effective these can be, but it s very easy for delegates to be less enthusiastic. Audiences are wary of sales pitches, however they do appreciate the opportunity to relate to the company representative as a colleague. We will happily advise on your approach to your speaking opportunity, and encourage you to discuss the matter with us prior to the Social events Don t be shy - we would love to see you at our social events! Our delegates will relish the opportunity to get to know you outside of the formal setting, although we do advise you to practice your dance floor moves before the conference dinner Adaptability All packages included in this brochure are able to be adapted on negotiation with your NLS2006 representative.
