Description of division / department Investment Finance Fund Advice. Purpose of the role The role of Senior Financial Accountant MAG GEFI and Other Funds will be responsible for: The statutory reporting for the MAG GEFI funds, which includes: (1) co-ordinating the financial reporting process with BNP (outsource provider); (2) reviewing the proforma financial reports and financial reports prepared by BNP; and (3) reporting to management and the relevant Boards on financial reporting matters and liaising with the external auditors Providing technical accounting advice with respect to the funds, which includes: (1) preparing accounting position papers on the financial reporting implications of changes in the business and complex transactions as they occur, including an assessment of accounting treatments and information requirements for external reporting; and (2) consider the implications of transactions and changes from a broader AMP perspective considering the implications for the funds and also for AMP Life Assisting the Fund Advice managers for Property and Infrastructure with ad hoc reporting (including transactions and projects), analysis and advice to Fund Accounting and Funds Management. To be done in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements through leadership, sound decision making, creative thinking, and implementation of leading practice process and controls Assisting with operational aspects of AMP Capital China Growth Funds middle office processes including calculating the daily net asset value of the fund and other accounting and reporting requirements Supervising and delegating to junior staff members within the team and contributing to a team which consistently delivers against both the Investment Finance (IF) objectives as well as the wider AMPCI corporate objectives Main focus areas MAG/GEFI Funds Technical areas of focus: Review of financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable laws and regulation. Key financial reporting matters include: Selection and disclosure of accounting policies Accounting estimates and judgements, including basis of preparation and consolidation requirements Recognition and measurement of financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives (IRS, FECs, other instruments), etc Financial risk management Fair value hierarchy disclosures Disclosure of related party transactions and calculation of performance fees

3 Preparing accounting position papers and performing analysis on changes in financial reporting requirements together with ad-hoc accounting advice Clear and concise reporting to Management Accounts Committees (MAC), Boards, Investment Committees, Funds Management and Statutory Reporting Prepare explanatory notes and analysis for management and Board reporting Project management: Co-ordinate the statutory reporting process Manage and monitor the receipt and quality of deliverables from internal and external data providers Ensure deadlines are met on a timely basis Agree proforma financial report with auditors and BNP and ensure compliance with fund advice accounting policies and position papers Create and maintain accounting procedures documentation Plan and prioritise tasks, especially around half year/yearly financial reporting period, in order to meet various deliverables and achieve optimum output Contribute in the scoping, designing and developing of efficiencies and improvements Other funds Property, Infrastructure and China Funds Provide support to the Fund Advice Managers for Property and Infrastructure. Key responsibilities may include: Delivery of ad hoc reporting, including transactions and projects Technical research and analysis (including technical areas of focus for MAG/GEFI Funds) Consult, understand business needs and deliver advice to Fund Accounting and Funds Management accounting for transactions, hedging, business combinations (consolidations, JVs) financial instruments, cashflow management, etc Generate creative, workable solutions to address complex business problems Assist with certain operational aspects of AMP Capital China Growth Fund s and other QFII (China) funds middle office processes: People Focus Preparation or review of daily / monthly net asset value calculations Maintain relationships with outsourced providers to manage service delivery Ad hoc reporting requirements including subsidiary reporting, taxation, liquidity management, payment processing, etc. Actively manage the relationship and commercial value / service delivery from outsourced providers Seen and regarded as a trusted adviser to Fund Accounting, Funds Management and Product Maintain a continuous improvement mindset in improving efficiency and eliminating risks to the business Provide support in establishing and achieving the Investment Finance team goals through supporting team members, maintaining and contributing to a positive work environment; ensuring knowledge is shared and committing to personal development Manage own learning and training to facilitate continuing improvement Set and actively manage individual development / training plans and requirements Provide on-the-job training to graduates rotating throughout the Fund Advice team
