ISLCRS is collaborating with the to welcome participants from around the world to an exciting and stimulating conference which will bring together laparoscopic and colorectal experts to discuss issues in the field. A live surgery day, advanced transanal surgery workshop including wet lab, TaTME cadaver lab, and afternoon scientific paper session are being offered as additional non-cme educational opportunities. Attendance at the Symposium will provide the attendees with a detailed analysis of the current status of every major colorectal area. Video demonstrations will help improve competencies and patient outcomes. Multidisciplinary integration amongst surgery, gastroenterology, imaging and pathology will be emphasized in combined sessions centered upon the definitions and optimization of patient outcomes. 3 16th Annual Surgery of the Foregut Symposium February 15 18, 2017 Endorsed by 4th Annual International Congress of Fluorescent Guided Imaging Surgery February 15, 2017 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The 16th Annual Surgery of the Foregut Symposium will provide surgeons and other health care professionals a wide range of information related to new and well established topics in gastrointestinal surgery. Attendees will become familiar with surgical aspects of conventional, laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgery of the foregut. In addition, attendees will acquire in-depth information related to the diagnosis and management of disease processes of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, liver, and biliary tree. The program will review complex case scenarios and complications after foregut procedures. As part of the symposium the International Consensus on Revisional Bariatric/Metabolic Interventions (ICC-RBMI) will continue to build on the foundation; not only to provide guidance for practicing surgeons, but also to establish the framework to answer the questions that will lead to improved quality and consistency of care for our patients. The 4th Annual International Congress of Fluorescent Guided Imaging Surgery is focusing on the new era of research on near infrared (NIR) imaging. The concept is based on the utilization of infrared light as a tool to guide surgery. This unique course will offer an updated and better understanding of the novel technique. Our goal is to foster the exchange of information and ideas on fluorescence imaging and its applications in surgery.
