2 Robert S. Brown, Jr., MD, MPH Frank Cardile Professor of Medicine Medical Director, Transplantation Initiative Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons New York, New York Robert S. Brown, Jr., MD, MPH is the Frank Cardile Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Transplantation Initiative at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. He also holds appointments in the Departments of Surgery and Pediatrics at Columbia and the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell School of Medicine. Dr. Brown, Jr. is the Director of the Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York. Dr. Brown, Jr. received his medical degree from New York University and his Master of Public Health from the Graduate School of Public Health, University of California in Berkeley. Following the completion of his medical degree, he fulfilled his internship in Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and his fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of California in San Francisco. A fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology, Dr. Brown, Jr. is also a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the European Association for the Study of the Liver, and the American Society for Transplantation. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology.

3 Dr. Brown, Jr. has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles most dedicated to viral hepatitis and liver transplantation and has extensive research funding in those areas. He is an Associate Editor for Liver Transplantation and a prior Associate Editor for Gastroenterology and Hepatology News and Hepatology. He received the Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Transplant Physicians in 1996, received the Senior Attending Teacher Award from New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in 2009, and was the American Liver Foundation New York Chapter s Physician of the Year in 2010.

Piziak, MD, PhD Board Certified Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism Emeritus Director of Endocrinology, Scott & White Professor of Medicine, Texas A & M University Program Director, Endocrinology Fellowship, Baylor Scott & White Director of Diabetes Section, Scott & White Dr. Piziak received her undergraduate degrees and her PhD from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her medical degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron and her fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Cincinnati both located in Ohio. Dr. Piziak is presently the Chief of Endocrinology and Director of the Lipid Clinic at Scott and White in Temple, Texas. She also has an appointment in the graduate faculty of Nutrition and the School of Rural Public Health of the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Dr. Piziak is a fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Piziak is the author of many articles in such publications as the Journal of the American Medical Association, Diabetes Care and the Annals of Internal Medicine.

Snyder, MD Bariatric and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon Medical Director Rose Medical Center Bariatric Surgery Program Denver, Colorado Dr. Snyder received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed and internship and residency at Oregon Health Sciences University at Portland, Oregon. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Snyder is an active member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and is Medical Director of the Bariatric Surgery Center at Rose Medical Center in Denver. Dr. Snyder is an international leader in the field of bariatric surgery. As of February, 2011, he has personally done approximately 3500 primary bariatric surgical procedures. His program is the most comprehensive and highest volume program in the region. He regularly treats patients from all over the US and when appropriate, from other countries. He is the most experienced bariatric surgeon in the region.

6 Donna M. Sudak, MD Professor of Psychiatry Senior Associate Training Director Director of Psychotherapy Training College of Medicine Drexel University Donna Sudak is Professor and Director of Psychotherapy Training in the Department of Psychiatry at the Drexel University College of Medicine. She is a clinician-educator with a wealth of experience in teaching and patient care. She has made a number of significant contributions to the literature in CBT education and has played a major role in developing suggested curricula and guidelines for resident competency in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. In addition to her teaching responsibilities at Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Sudak is on the Speakers Bureau at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research. She is the current President of The Academy of Cognitive Therapy, the Editor of the PIPE examination, and serves on multiple national committees in ABCT and AADPRT.
