We can help. For 30 years, the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) has set the standard for accreditation in ambulatory health care. If you are contemplating accreditation for your organization, the AAAHC Achieving Accreditation seminar is the ideal place to learn practically everything there is to know about it. We ll show you how to meet the nationally-recognized AAAHC standards, how to prepare for an accreditation survey. In short, we ll take the mystery out of the whole process. AAAHC accreditation is a visible sign of your dedication to patient safety and quality care not only to those involved in health care delivery and management but also to the general public, third party payers and regulators. Almost 5,000 organizations are already realizing the benefits of AAAHC accreditation. Isn t it time your organization was one of them? About the Accreditation Association SM The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care was established in 1979 to advance and promote patient safety, quality of care and measurement of performance. A private, non-profit organization, we have developed a widespread reputation as an advocate of high-quality health care, and over a span of more than 30 years have become the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation. Improving Health Care Quality through Accreditation AAAHC is focused on providing quality accreditation programs for the ambulatory health care community. Our standards are designed and surveys conducted by health care professionals with extensive experience in the ambulatory arena. Our peer-based review system allows for a collaborative and consultative approach that is flexible and adaptable to the specific needs of any ambulatory health care organization. AAAHC accreditation is both a welcome educational experience and visible testimony of your dedication to quality patient care.

About the Program Achieving Accreditation is an in-depth, interactive program designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need to prepare for the actual AAAHC survey. Whether you re applying for accreditation for the first time or preparing for re-accreditation, this seminar can help you understand the applicable AAAHC standards, policies and procedures to get your organization ready for its survey. The program is led by highly-experienced AAAHC surveyors who will take you through both the standards and the survey process. Day one: A comprehensive review of the Accreditation Association core standards and how to prepare your organization to meet them. Special small group sessions focus on AAAHC quality management and improvement standards. During these sessions, you ll review sample quality improvement (QI) studies, explore QI topic selection and learn how to develop QI studies within your own organization. Day two: More small group work specific to your own practice settings. AAAHC surveyors, experienced in a variety of practice settings, will provide you with direct consultation on what you need to know to achieve compliance with the standards that specifically apply to your organization. Surveyors will also provide an overview of the accreditation process from the time of application to the on site survey. In this section, you will have the opportunity to ask specific questions, share concerns and offer feedback. By the end of the program, you will have a firm understanding of the survey process and what you need to do to attain or retain AAAHC accreditation, including how to meet all applicable standards.
