Online registration starts at 6:00 am FALL Program Registration starts Aug. 3 for Members & Aug. 10 for Non-Members Summer Session: June 27 - August 22, 2015 Online registration not available for aquatics classes.
2 YOUTH SWIM CLASSES Summer swim lessons are a great way for children and teens to formally continue improving their swim skills during the summer. While children might have additional resources for swimming during the summer through summer camp, outdoor pool usage, or backyard pools, they are often participating in recreational swimming. We believe that participation in our formal summer swim lesson program is beneficial and will help children and teens continue to improve and achieve great swim skills this summer! Swim evaluations are required for all swim groups excluding Pike 1, Pike 2 Polliwog 1, and Youth Beginner. No online registration for youth swim classes. INTENSIVE SWIM PROGRAM F BEGINNERS In order to maximize your child s experience in the water this summer, consider a 2 day option for your beginner swimmer to get additional practice on the skills they need to succeed! Pike 1: Tuesday and Thursday - 3:45-4:30pm Pike 2: Tuesday and Thursday -3:45-4:30pm Shrimp: Tuesday and Thursday - 3:45-4:30pm Polliwog 1: Tuesday and Thursday - 3:45-4:30pm Polliwog 2: Tuesday and Thursday - 3:45-4:30pm FEES (2 Day Option) Family Members: $206; Youth Members: $269 Non Member: $430

ADULT HEALTHY LIVING BASIC TRAINING Foundations of strength training with resistance exercises using free weights and your own body weight. Build overall strength and endurance. All levels welcome 4-12 participants. Monday & Wednesday: 10:30 am-11:15 am Member $130; Non-Member: $175 LIVESTRONG AT THE YMCA A FREE twelve-week, small group program designed for adult cancer survivors. Our goal is to help participants build muscle mass and muscle strength, increase flexibility and endurance and improve functional ability. June 6 - August 30 Monday and Wednesday from 1:15 2:30pm Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15 7:30pm FREE - No Membership needed (Our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program is supported by donor contributions) See our Summer Camp Guide for details about our Teen Fitness Camp PRE-ENDURANCE SWIM CLASS For adults who can swim at least 2 continuous laps of freestyle using side or rotary breathing. Through an instructional workout with a swim instructor, participants will work on stroke technique as they build endurance. Prerequisites: Participants should be able to swim at least 2 continuous laps of freestyle with face in the water using side breathing. Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 6:50-7:45am Members: $155; Non-Members: $196 ENDURANCE SWIM TRAINING Ages 18 and up This 9-week coached training program will include: interval training, building speed and endurance. This program is for the swimmer who wishes to focus on efficiency and enhancing endurance in a guided practice. Prerequisites: Participants should be able to swim 200 yards (8 lengths) with ease (not speed) using rotary breathing continuously. Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 5:30-6:50 am Member: $139; Non-Member: $195* *Classes will not be pro-rated based on the number of days you can attend. BOXING WITH LARRY Learn proper step by step technique and form with Coach Larry Jones. Classes will include heavy bag work, pad training, agility, coordination and stamina strengthening. If you have your own gloves and wraps please bring to class. Limited to 5-10 participants. Sunday: 3:30-4:15 pm Member $75; Non-Member: $100 EXTREME CONDITIONING Class is designed for members who want increased intensity and challenge. Using body strength resistance and Tabata training to create full body functional routines, with endless variety, this class will keep your interest peaked! 4-12 participants Monday & Wednesday; 7:30-8:30 pm Member: $155; Non-Member: $195 HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING Designed for people who are looking for intensity and challenge; this class offers vigorous moves that will build both strength and endurance. Not recommended for beginners participants Monday: 9:30-10:15 am & Saturday 8:30-9:15 am Tuesday & Thursday: 9:30 am-10:15 am Member: $130; Non-Member: $175 AQUA FLEX Ages 18 and up No online registration. A low impact water exercise class in the Brookside Pool for participants 62+. This class will focus on water exercise skills that will improve core strength, maintain muscle tone, and develop strength, balance, and flexibility. 4 YOUTH SOCCER, MUSIC & FUN June 25-August 20 SUPER SOCCER STARS Positive reinforcement is used to teach children soccer skills in a fun, engaging, educational environment. Our age specific curriculum is designed by a combination of early childhood, behavioral, soccer specialists to ensure that each child is learning, building self confidence, and having a blast from the time the whistle blows! (7 week session - no class on 7/3) Class is held in the Rye Y Gymnasium. Age 2 - Sunday: 10:30-11:10am Ages 3 to young 4 - Sunday: 11:35 am-12:20 pm Ages older 4 to 5 - Sunday: 10:30-11:20 am Grades K-2 Sunday: 11:35 am-12:35 pm Family: $200; Youth: $230; Non-Member: $295 Register online at ROCK YOUR WLD with Armelle Ages 9 mos.- 4 yrs.
