It is through our partners, sponsors and advertisers the chapter can provide continuing education and encourage collaboration among all members of the design team. There are many ways to become involved with CSI Chicago, including partnerships, advertising, and event sponsorship. The following pages outlines the opportunities, events and costs. 4 DESCRIPTION OF OPPORTUNITIES EVENT SPONSORSHIPS The Chicago Chapter holds meetings throughout the year that feature design and construction topics presented by well-known eperts. AIA/CES Continuing Education credits are offered to professionals and attendance is 75 to 100 at each program. Social events are held throughout the year and are designed to be a networking opportunity for members and guests in a more relaed atmosphere. These events range from people depending on the event. Meeting Tabletop Presenters are provided a si-foot display table with a maimum of five tabletop sponsors at each meeting. Speaking opportunity (1min) at dinner and recognition in following month s member newsletter. Includes sponsorship of raffle at program. New Member Reception Social gathering for new members to meet one another and the board/committees. Sponsors will have a tabletop at the reception as well as the monthly chapter meeting immediately following the reception. Sponsors will get same recognition as a meeting tabletop listed above. CDT Eam Study Class Sponsors - This well-attended and highly respected 10-week class is in preparation for the CDT eam. Sponsor one class with opportunity to speak before class to appro. 25 attendees, recognition in marketing information relating to the class via website and newsletter. Companies can sponsor more than one class. Young Professional Event Primarily social event to encourage younger professionals to socialize with other industry members. Event Sponsors will get event recognition (verbal and signage), tabletop at event, logo with link on event marketing information and business card in newsletter from the month of event posting though the event recap newsletter publication. Bar sponsors will receive event recognition (verbal and signage), logo in event recap in following month s member newsletter Young Professional Rapid Presentation Event Event Sponsorship will include presentation, business card listing in following month s member newsletter and bar sponsorship. Bar sponsorship includes sponsorship recognition at bar with logo on sponsor sign, verbal recognition at event, product display area of at event for brochures, business cards and/or samples and logo in following month's newsletter recap on event. Holiday Party Social gathering includes a raffle to benefit a local charity. Event sponsors will be recognized at event with logo on signage and announcement. Raffle item sponsors can donate a raffle item or money for raffle item(s) to be purchased and donor name will be announced during raffle. All sponsors will be included newsletter event recap in the January publication (logo is included for event sponsors). Building Enclosure Annual continuing education event featuring respected eperts in Building Enclosure issues from across the country and internationally. Must inquire for sponsorship details. CSi2eye Speed Dating product show where architects and manufactures meet face to face for short sessions. This event requires approved manufacturer application. Typically held in March. Application dates are advertised separately on CSI Chicago website and newsletter. Awards Banquet End of the year dinner at a selected venue to celebrate the membership, volunteers and provide awards. Sponsors will be recognized at event and also in newsletter. Bowling Social gathering held in spring for social networking. Sponsors will be recognized at event and also in newsletter. Lane Sponsors will receive an individual sign at designated lane, 6 complimentary attendance tickets with bowlers assigned to their sponsored lane, and recognition in the newsletter. Event Sponsors receive recognition on event sign, one complimentary attendance ticket and recognition in the newsletter. WEBSITE MARKETING Chapter Website ( - Current snapshot of the activities of the chapter with updates on a regular basis. It is an information source for members and nonmembers seeking information, resources, registration and links to everything CSI. Website ad on the Homepage for 12 months Rotating banner image on lower left corner of homepage. Size is piels. NEWSLETTER & MARKETING Chapter Newsletters - The Chicago Chapter sends our two newsletters each month: Change Order - Members PDF Newsletter, sent to chapter members (300+) around the 1 st of the month via ed link to PDF archive posted on our website. Member newsletter includes member and chapter news, upcoming events, recap of past chapter events, president s letter, selected contributed member articles, and highlights of Institute and Regional news. Information for due by 20 th of preceding month for publication.

5 The Transmittal - Subscribers e-newsletter, blast sent out weekly with upcoming events all chapter subscribers (2,000+). The 2 nd Friday of the month, a longer e-newsletter is sent out to include additional chapter news, industry events, job postings, etc. Format is headlines, brief descriptions, and links to additional information. Information for due by the 1 st of the month for publication. All content and information in newsletters and s are subject to pre-approval by the communications committee and/or Chapter board. If approval cannot be obtained prior to publication, your content will not be published and you will be notified. Discounted pricing for additional consecutive months only apply for listings that remain unchanged from previous month publication. Graphic assistance for website and/or newsletter is available at $60 per hour. Advertisement in Change Order - Runs for 12 months. Ads can be submitted in JPEG, PDF, or EPS formats. Full color images, no bleed. Changes in copy from month to month throughout the year can be made at an additional $40 per instance. New product release or Project recap in Change Order - Platinum Partners receive one article inclusion in a month of their choice per partnership year to highlight a product or event. Content must not eceed one page and fit with in newsletter template space of 7.5 wide 9 tall. Dedicated to CSI List - The chapter will send an eclusive to its current member mailing list under the Chicago CSI banner. Content may be a company event, new product release, project highlight or other communication. ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES Student Scholarship Sponsor a scholarship prize awarded to an Illinois Institute of Technology student. Applicants for the scholarship submit a project and are tasked with creating a tet narrative. Recognition with company name, logo, and link in newsletter award article and also on website once award is given until the net year when application information is posted (appro. 6 mo. website posting). Winner is announced at the March chapter program and sponsor is invited to attend to present award. Sign up to be a sponsor a scholarship no later than October 1 each year. Future City Competition Award - The Future City Competition, a part of National Engineers Week, is an ecellent opportunity to introduce middle and junior high school students to possible careers in engineering. Provide funding for CSI Chicago Chapter to sponsor an award at the net year s competition. Recognition with company name, logo, and link in newsletter event recap article. Sponsors will also have an option to send up to 2 volunteers to the competition to help judge. Sign up to be a sponsor for an award no later than November 1 each year. There is limited availability for all items listed and reservations are first come first served basis.
