Health & Social Care Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care Funding available* (12 months) Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care Funding available* (12 months) Gaining this qualification confirms an individual s knowledge, skills and competence for working with adults and children across all social care settings, such as within residential settings, primary care environments, domiciliary services, day services and supported living. This diploma is ideal for people who have been working in health and social care for more than twelve months, who have some responsibility in the workplace and are able to work without supervision at times. You will be able to work effectively and respectfully with people who use health and social care services. Level 5 Care Leadership and Management 1,575pp / Apprenticeship Funded* (18 months) This qualification is ideal for people working in Adult Social Care as Adults Residential Managers, Adults Managers and Adults Advanced Practitioners. This framework has been developed by Skills for Care based on the input of employers in the adult social care sector. The Higher Apprenticeship will give you a range of transferrable skills to enable you to identify ways to innovate and provide high quality care. You ll gain sector recognised qualifications and develop specialist skills whilst working alongside experienced peers in the workplace. Care Leadership and Management (England) is a mix of skills development and knowledge and combines work based learning with academic study. 2

4 Health, Social Care & Counselling Counselling Counselling has seen an enormous growth in recent years and takes place in a range of settings, including voluntary organisations, schools, hospitals and churches. In addition, counselling skills are useful within many professional contexts where listening, understanding and rationalising are important, such as teaching, nursing and social work. In addition to our Level 2, 3 and 4 Counselling programmes, we have also introduced some higher level counselling qualifications that act as CPD opportunities for those already working in this field. CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Skills and Theory 1,150 pp ( hrs/wk) This course is designed for practising counselling practitioners seeking to develop their skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and integrate these new skills into their current practice. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is widely recognised and highly respected as an evidence based practice, which can usefully be incorporated into most existing counselling practice. You will learn about and use the CBT framework to structure the therapeutic relationship. Consider the working alliance for the CBT practitioner, and look at the differences in the relationships from other therapeutic approaches. You will consider theory and therapeutic process in relation to collaboration, connectedness, intimacy, dependency and transference. CPCAB Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision 1,200 pp (30 3 hrs/wk) This is an exciting opportunity to continue your professional development to become a clinical supervisor of counsellors. This course is designed for applicants who have completed a higher level qualification in Counselling of at least 450 hours plus 450 hours clinical hours and have at least two years of supervised clinical practice. Our Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision is the ideal qualification in order to support others in their professional practice. The Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision will equip you to manage the fundamental aspects of the clinical supervisor s role. The course will have an emphasis on the development of your own coherent model for supervision, using theories introduced and your own reading and research to inform your practice. Learning at this level will be collegiate, collaborative and creative, allowing opportunity for self and professional development, and a deepening of your theoretical understanding, as it both informs and underpins your practice. 4

5 Funeral Operations This apprenticeship is suitable for both new and existing personnel who wish to gain a formal and recognised qualification working within the funeral operations and services sector. The Apprenticeship, offered by ROI Solutions, is nationally recognised and teaches the theoretical and practical elements of funeral operations, predominantly focussing on developing a full understanding of the practices and the professional skills required within the sector. The training is delivered through a unique Blended Distance Learning approach, with an assigned college tutor and workplace assessor who will track, monitor and support learning. Using a variety of assessment techniques, mixed with hands on experience and an allocated workplace mentor, this opportunity to learn meets the needs of those requiring more flexibility around study, whilst also meeting the needs and demands of a 24 hour service. The Level 2 course content covers aspects such as interacting sensitively with clients, planning and coordinating arrangements for a funeral, customer service, communication skills and how to work effectively with colleagues. 5
