This document details the qualifications currently available Our delivery is one-to-one within the workplace and this is further supported by a comprehensive Virtual Learning Platform, distance/blended learning methods and monthly arranged workshops to focus on specific knowledge requirements for the learner within their workplace Why Use Easton & Otley? 2 Each candidate will receive three contacts; a dedicated Tutor/Assessor; Internal Verifier and Business Consultant to support them through the full process. They are all located in the region and very well qualified Each candidate will receive an E-Learning log-in account to allow access to our Virtual Learning Environment 24/7 Delivery is work based so no need for release from work (apart from Functional Skills Tests if required) We have a solid range of funding options that include Intermediate Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships, Skills Support for the Workforce and access to the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan All our learners have access to the full range of college facilities that includes Student Services, Counselling and Additional Learning Need support so we can meet their individual needs Our focus is in building Individual Learning Plans that meets the learner s needs and preferences. 3 Overview of Funding Opportunities further details of each option are available later in the pack Apprenticeships Offer professional development for existing staff and cost-effective way to employ new employees through the apprenticeship scheme. Skills Support for the Workforce Any organisations (including Sole Traders) in Suffolk or Norfolk who employ less than 250 members of staff may be able to access this funding. Those who have not done a degree before or Level 4 can access this funding. 24+ Advanced Learning Loan Individuals can finance their training by a loan that is not repaid until 2016 and not until earnings are over 21,000 Certificate in Marketing, Sales and Business Innovation in Active Leisure Supports organisations in up-skilling a volunteer or employed staff member to develop Marketing and Sales skills Unit Breakdown Lists the units that make up qualifications delivered.

Are you an employer with a limited training budget who would like to access government funding to train your staff to raise business performance and retain your good employees? Skills Support for the Workforce could be the answer! We have joined forces with 5 other colleges and the Skills Funding Agency to offer those based in Suffolk and Norfolk access to funding to achieve a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification fully subsidised by funding. 7 Are you working but want to broaden your skill set to include new skills and develop career opportunities? Are you looking for a loan system that is cost effective and for which you only pay back when you re earning increases? The 24+ Advanced Learning Loan could be right for you The sport, fitness and leisure qualifications listed below are eligible (last checked on 06/01/14). Repayments don t start until April 2016 and you won t have to pay anything back until you earn more than 21,000 a year. The loan doesn t depend on your income and there are no credit checks. You can get independent money advice from the Money Advice Service. Certificate in Leisure Management Certificate in Personal Training Diploma in Sport Development Diploma in Leisure Management Diploma in Personal Training WHAT YOU LL GET The minimum loan you can get is 300. You don t have to borrow the full cost of your course - you can pay for some of it yourself. The money is paid directly to your college or training provider. You can get up to 4 loans, but you can only get 1 loan at a time You can t apply for another loan to repeat the same level of a course (E.g. you can t get a loan to fund a Level 3 certificate in French when you ve already had a loan for a Level 3 certificate in Italian)

8 ELIGIBILITY You must be 24 or older on the first day of your course. You must: be living in the UK on the first day of your course; have been living in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man for 3 years before starting your course; be a UK national or have settled status (this means there s no restrictions on how long you can stay) You may also qualify if you re: an EU national or a family member of one a refugee a migrant worker the child of a Swiss national the child of a Turkish worker HOW TO APPLY 1. Ask Easton & Otley College for a Learning and funding information letter - you need this to complete the application. It contains the details about your course including confirmation of course fees and start/end dates 2. Apply online - you ll need to register first. If you can t apply online you can download the forms at 3. You ll get a letter confirming your loan - usually within 2 weeks if you apply online (postal applications take longer).
