1 PITZER COLLEGE New Resurces Prgram Deadlines and Instructins Pitzer Cllege established the New Resurces Prgram in 1974 t bring the small, liberal arts cllege experience t students f nn-traditinal cllege age. The prgram was funded with the cnvictin that a truly diverse campus is ne eager t encunter the added dimensin brught by students f a range f ages as well as backgrunds and interests. New Resurces students nevertheless have ne thing in cmmn: a cmmitment t learning. Often, this cmes frm the perspective attributed t having already made many difficult life decisins. A student may be cnsidered a New Resurces applicant if they are 23 years f age r lder. The New Resurces Prgram is designed fr students wh have nt received a Bachelr's degree nr fllwed the path f a traditinal fur year cllege student. Prir experience fr a New Resurces student might include: Full-time wrk instead f schl Time ff schl fr ther experiences Military duty Never attended cllege Currently enrlled at a junir cllege and nt f traditinal age New Resurces students may attend n a full r part-time basis, and they are encuraged t plan their curse lad with a realistic appraisal f their family and jb cmmitments. New Resurces Prgram applicants must be in gd standing at the last institutin they attended. They can transfer a maximum f 64 semester units frm a cmmunity cllege. An additinal 32 semester units r 48 quarter units may be transferred frm an accredited fur-year institutin.
