2 Airport master planning : vision & objectives The airport master planning is driven by the airport vision & objectives. It considers different horizon of time from long term (20 years +) to medium & short terms. It looks after all airside, landside & support facilities. It aims to meet trafic growth & changes in a balanced & beneficial thought including : congestions & delays customer experience & level of service capital investment & operating cost revenue potential environmental impact the long term master plan express the ultimate capacity of the site which is driven by the respective capacity of airspace, ruway system, terminals & surface access. It helps to orientate the 10 years developpment programm (schéma directeur) which register the various enhacement projects. It is revised every 5 years in a logical, sustainable & cost efficient manner. 2

24 Paris-CDG airport: projects for A future Terminal 4 The commissionning of an additional terminal is expected in the mid 2020s when the platform reaches its maximum capacity. The CDG Express Link The Metro line 14 The N104 Highway The new terminal could eventually accomodate between 30 and 40 million passengers per year and be located in the north of Terminal 2E.
