The master plan defines a program of staged development of airport facilities to accommodate forecast levels of air traffic demand with maximum operational effectiveness and with minimum cost and adverse impact on the environment. Master plan studies entail a determination of facility requirements followed by a thorough evaluation of the consequences of all reasonable and practicable possible courses of airport facilities development actions. Such studies culminate in the preparation of detailed airport plans and an economic feasibility analysis. Air Support also provides consulting services on a large variety of on-and-off airport related transportation planning, traffic planning and parking improvement projects. Recent projects have included the identification of impacts and recommendation of solutions to impacts associated with

3 proposed developments, planning of transportation networks serving airports, analyses of roadways and parking areas; projection of future traffic, parking and roadway needs studies and the planning and preliminary design of airport ground transportation facilities. Many airport operators are faced also with the dilemma of expanding, upgrading or improving existing airport facilities while maintaining a safe environment and high level of service. Air Support is at the forefront of the emerging field of construction/airport operations planning. We have experience in integrating construction with airfield and landside operations. Airfield construction is of particular interest since our professional staff has the diverse experience required to integrate successfully architectural/engineering and construction management services with airport operating requirements. Airport Infrastructures - Simulation Air Support Airport Infrastructures Team own a deep special knowledge in simulation. Air Support has been providing airspace and airfield simulation modeling services to the aviation industry since the beginning and its modeling staff has accrued extensive combined experience in addressing airspace and airfield problems using simulation modeling as well as analytical techniques. Such approach is extensively used in airport delay analysis, airport capacity evaluation, route planning, etc, being possible to combine in a single study effort the evaluation all several competing factors, such airfield overall layout, taxiway system configuration, aircraft stand allocation, ATC procedures, fleet mix, scheduling, prevailing meteo conditions and many more. Air Support Simulation Team has evaluated several different analytical tools, but most of its latest studies has been performed using FAA's SIMMOD model. A considerable investment in staff resources and training as been made, as well as computer equipment and software to support the modelling team. The availability of multiple models, along with capability to use the best model to address the specific issues at hand, gives Air Support unparalleled flexibility and responsiveness in providing answers to key questions about airport and airspace capacity. Our understanding of air traffic procedures, insightful management of aircraft operations data, expertise in interpreting simulation model outputs, and proven ability in presenting meaningful results are more important than the specific simulation models used for analysis. 4 Airport Infrastructures Terminal Design The firm s Terminal Planning and Design efforts are by architects and planners who are experts at developing concepts for new and remodeled terminals and concourses, and adjacent airside and landside interfaces. The firm also develops detailed programs and associated facility requirements for passengers, baggage handling and other key terminal functions. On strategic financial assignments, these capabilities can be extremely important in validating or developing key capital cost and non-airline revenue assumptions. From the beginning of the airport terminal design process, Air Support strives for a balance between the airspace, airfield, apron, terminal and ground transportation systems. We set the appropriate long-range course for the terminal facilities by measuring all logical constraints on the project against its mission goals. This process continues over multiple iterations of alternatives through the various stages of design. Our professional address each critical-path decision with the best analytical tools and expertise available in the industry. Whether part of an original master plan, master plan update or special terminal designed study, Air Support brings industry experience in the development of terminal complex plans. This experience covers a wide range of terminal planning and design assignments, both large and small. It is the translation of the forecast of aircraft operations and passenger activity into realities of quantifiable amounts of space and facilities that sets the stage for all subsequent design work and, ultimately, the construction of the terminal project. Air Support provides programming services that address the appropriate level of precision needed to define terminal facilities for master planning, conceptual and schematic design phases in to the final detailed constitution phases. Dinamyc simulations for the new layout of Terminal B to the airport Rome Fiumicino Utilizing specialized analytical tools, our experts combine terminal planning and design expertise with financial services to address the optimum revenue generating opportunities and concessions locations within a specific terminal design. Other specialized applications assess the level of demand placed on public facilities and appropriate operational solutions to achieve acceptable levels of quality services, cleanliness and maintenance. These highly sophisticated and analytical tools are combined with the experience and expert judgment of terminal planning specialists and architects within the firm who have participated several successful terminal design assignments.

5 Airspace Planning The continuous growth of air travel demand has direct impact of all key element of Air Transportation, both on the ground and in the air. Air Support Airspace Planning Team is tasked with addressing that impact and developing strategies to respond to upgraded needs and requirements in airspace procedures.
