1 Transportation Gallup is accessible by truck, rail and bus transportation. Its location makes it accessible to major market centers such as Albuquerque (138 miles), Phoenix (295 miles), Las Vegas (444 miles), Denver (579 miles) and Los Angeles (669 miles). Interstate 40 goes directly from Gallup to Albuquerque. U.S. Highway 666 and State Highway 602 connect Gallup to all north and south destinations, respectively. 2 Air / Airport Gallup Flying Service Gallup Municipal Airport (505) Mesa Airlines (coming soon) The airport is owned and operated by the City of Gallup, and will soon be certified under FAR part 139. The airport is located three miles west of downtown Gallup. America West Express and Mesa Airlines have provided airline services at the airport. Gallup is currently negotiating with several firms to provide service once again, and these connecting flights allow a Gallup customer to reach any destination in the world. Federal Express provides daily overnight express service. Other air freight transportation is available. Trained weather observers provide weather information 24 hours a day. The paved 7300 runway has medium intensity lighting and REILs, and is able to accommodate corporate jets, turbo prop and commuter aircraft. There are approximately 50 aircraft based at the Gallup Municipal Airport, most of which are hangared. Gallup Flying Service provides air taxi, air ambulance, flight training and sight seeing tours. There is a car rental agency located at the airport. The airport covers 359 acres and land is available for commercial development. The airport management office can be reached at telephone

3 Transit / Bus Service Greyhound Multi-Model & Cultural Center (505) Greyhound links bus service to all parts of the U.S. Albuquerque is major destinations and offers several runs a day from commuters and visitors. Navajo Transit Multi-Modal & Cultural Center (928) Navajo Transit is the only bus service for commuters. Commuters depart from various parts of Navajo Nation, and the bus drops passengers at various destinations in Gallup. Z.E.E. Transportation Total of eight (8) transportation cans are in operation: Monday through Friday. Transporting local residents within the Zuni community and to Gallup, NM for school, shopping, and other means of business. PUBLIC TRANSIT Gallup Express Welcome to Gallup Express, a cheap and no hassle way to get around the city. In addition to environmental benefits, public transportation also limits traffic congestion and gas usage. 4 Rail Amtrak: Multi-Modal & Cultural Center (800) Amtrak provides rail passenger service in New Mexico. There are two routes that cross the state. The Chicago to Los Angeles route serves Raton, Las Vegas, Lamy (for Santa Fe), Albuquerque and Gallup. The route between New Orleans and Los Angeles, via El Paso, Texas, serves Deming and Lordsburg. (2) Passenger trains going east and west daily. (2) Package Express shipments daily. Northern & Santa Fe: Burlington Daily freight shipments to and from Gallup as requested. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe hauls 90% of all freight originating in New Mexico, and 80% of all cargo terminating here. The company has two north-south lines, one serving the Rio Grande Valley and the other serving the Pecos Valley. East-west lines link the Midwest and California, meeting in Belen.
