3 13th annual hampton university EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT The On The Road To The Presidency Executive Leadership Summit is an outgrowth of Hampton University President, Dr. William R. Harvey s desire to pass the executive leadership torch to those who desire to assume executive leadership positions. The Summit is one of the stellar programs offered through the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute. It presents participants with a broad perspective on leadership challenges and rewards faced by executives in positions at diverse small and mid-sized comprehensive colleges and universities as well as in government and business. The Summit is based on ten fundamental leadership principles which Dr. Harvey has incorporated into the Harvey Leadership Model. During the Summit, Dr. Harvey will share his model, expertise as a leader in education and business and considerable experience as a university administrator. For more than thirty-five years, Dr. Harvey has been instrumental in preparing members of his administrative team to serve as presidents at institutions of higher learning and as executives at colleges, universities and corporations. Summit attendees will receive professional development training from a group of experienced and respected executive leaders. Participants will learn firsthand what it takes to be a successful leader through engaging lectures, thought-provoking interactive sessions and one-on-one dialogue. Additionally, attendees will learn strategies to refocus their careers and to sharpen their professional skills. 9 REGISTRATION INFORMATION The registration fee for the Summit is $ It includes a reception on Wednesday, breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday, dinner on Thursday and at the closing banquet on Friday. Early registration is highly recommended. For individuals registering before or on September 16, 2013, there is an early bird fee of $ This year a pre-summit workshop about crisis communications is being offered on Wednesday, November 6, There will be an additional charge of $75.00 for the workshop. The fee includes a boxed lunch. Early registration for the pre-summit workshop is highly recommended as space is limited to 25 participants.
