Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. There is limited enrollment per camping session so we urge that registration be made early and for the exact number of camping periods desired. The Y will be open July 3rd (There will be no transportation offered for camp on this day) REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS Pay in Full Discounts- Pay in full upon registration by March 31st and receive 10% off on all Full Day programs. Pay in full upon registration between 4/1/15-4/30/15 and receive 5% off on all Full Day Programs. 2nd Child Discount - 2nd Child Discount will be $50 applied to second child from the same family during the same camp session on all 5 day full day options. $25 will be applied for all 3 day full day options. All discounts apply to Full Day Programs Only. Discount/coupon cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers. Transportation Excluded. CAMP FLEX OPTIONS: Need 1 Week Here? 2 Weeks There? At the Y, we offer 3-week session blocks because we find that CAN T DO THE FULL 3 WEEKS? consistency helps kids form friendships, advance their swim skills, and experience everything our Summer Day Camps have to offer. That said, we know how busy families can be during the summer and if you need more flexibility, we re here to help. 1 week and 2 week options If you d like to purchase summer camp weeks a la carte, just come in and let us know which weeks work for your family. Please be aware that to take advantage of flexible scheduling, you must register in person. Space may be limited. Flexible scheduling is offered based on camp capacity: children who are part of our 3-week sessions have priority on all off-campus trips. The remaining balance must be paid in full 3 weeks prior to the start of the camp session or your child will not be permitted to begin camp. There will be a $10 fee for late payment. MEMBERSHIP FEE All campers are required to be Y members at the time of registration. Membership info is available upon request at the front desk. A youth program membership is $75. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Contact Jenette Adams, Outreach Coordinator Jenette.Adams@ymcali.org Financial Assistance is available for qualified individuals. Campership applications must be completed in full and received no later than May 15, 2015 for consideration by the financial assistance committee. Applications are evaluated on a first come first serve basis and are available at the Member Services Desk starting January 10th, PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT Come join the Camp Directors to ask any questions you may have about your upcoming camp experience. Parents only need to attend the first Parent Information Night if their child is enrolled in multiple sessions. All orientations will follow the following format: SESSION 1 (June 29th July 17th): Thurs., June 25th Kiddie 1st Gr & PA JR Session 1/2 (6:00pm-7:00pm) 2nd Gr Teen & PA SR Sessions 1-3 (7:00pm-8:00pm) SESSION 2 (July 20th Aug. 7th): Wed., July 15th All Camps (7:00pm-8:00pm)-Directors Only SESSION 3 (Aug. 10th Aug. 28th) Wed., Aug. 5th Parent Information Night is held at the YMCA facility! Main Street, Bay Shore This unique experience is one of our most successful programs for pre-school children and is designed to provide both physical growth and socialization through fun-filled early childhood activities. Campers use the air-conditioned indoor facilities of the Y pre-school, the enclosed outdoor playground area and have supervised access to the many activity areas of the Y. Activities include swimming lessons (full day only), special events, arts and crafts, music, movement and much, much more; staff/camper ratio is 1 to 5. Children eligible for Kiddie Camp must be toilet trained. Depending on scheduling restrictions some activities may not be available for part-time campers (i.e. Inflatables, Water Play, etc.). Options Available: Monday-Friday-Full Day, Monday/Wednesday/Friday-Full Day, and Monday/Wednesday/Friday-Half Day (available for 3 year olds only) YOUTH CAMP (Completed Grades K-3rd) 8:45am-4:00pm Cathy McKenna Director (x169) Cathy.Mckenna@ymcali.org Location: YMCA 200 W. Main Street, Bay Shore Our Y Youth Camp encourages campers to have fun while participating in group activities, special events and trips which develop creativity, independence, and a sense of teamwork. Campers will partake in art/crafts, dance instruction, music, theatre, karate, sports, cooking, ga-ga, swimming, inflatable moonbounce, Spider Climb, waterslides, trips and a whole lot more! Youth Camp is designed to give campers a wide variety of activities, make friends, and build character. Camp activities will run from 9:30am- 3:30pm. Depending on scheduling restrictions some activities may not be available for parttime campers (i.e. Rockwall and Inflatables). 5 PERFORMING ARTS CAMP (Completed Grades 5-10th) 8:45am-4:00pm Tiana Christoforidis Director (x148) Sessions 1 and 2 Location: Bay Shore Middle School Session 3 Location: YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts Welcome to our18th year of Performing Arts Summer Camp!! We are excited to offer 3 week sessions to allow the beginner and experienced performer alike the chance to perform in a variety of shows! Campers work with professional directors, choreographers and instructors towards productions of Into the Woods Jr (session 1), Legally Blonde Jr (session 2) and Shrek Jr (session 3) all taught and performed in a challenging and exciting theatre environment. Shows subject to change. NEW: Session 3 available for grades 2-10 PERFORMING ARTS CAMP JR. (Completed Grades K-4th) 8:45am-4:00pm Elyse Smolin- Director (x115) Elyse.Smolin@ymcali.org Session 1 and Session 2 ONLY Location: Bay Shore Middle School This program meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. To introduce young children to the magic of theatre. Program will include creative play, creating characters, basic acting technique, voice and movement work, following stage directions as well as basic set and prop building. All campers will perform in an exciting end of session show, Disney s Cinderella Kids for Session 1 and Disney s Aladdin Kids for Session 2. NEW: 5 days T/TH Option for grades K-3 ONLY. Campers choosing the T/ TH option will be integrated into Youth Camp and arrive and dismiss at the Great South Bay Y. Campers meet for PA Jr. at Bay Shore MS on M/W/F and at Youth Camp at Great South Bay Y on T/Th. Please call x 115 for more information. Shows subject to change

6 ACLD S SPIEGEL CHILDREN S CENTER OFF-SITE CAMPS: Welcome to the newly constructed ACLD s Spiegel Children s Center at 67 Greenwood Rd, Bay Shore. Enjoy 8 acres of a traditional camp experience including: Outdoor Aquatic Complex (multiple pools and slide) Indoor Gymnasium (fully air conditioned) Sports fields Fully air conditioned indoor classrooms Outdoor Sports Court & Picnic Area JUNIOR TRAVEL CAMP LOCATION: ACLD S SPIEGEL CHILDREN S CENTER (Completed Grades 4-6) 8:30am-4:00pm John Borromeo Director (x182) John.Borromeo@ymcali.org Junior Travel Camp is modeled after our Teen Camp. This camp program is designed for the camper who wants to participate in camp activities but also travel on various field trips 1-2 times a week including amusement parks, sporting events, beaches and more! Exceptional activities and a commitment to the true spirit of summer camp will stimulate the natural progression of your older campers. Camp activities will run from 9:00am-3:30pm. Depending on scheduling restrictions some activities/field trips may not be available for part-time campers. Options Available: Monday-Friday and Monday/Wednesday/Friday SPORTS CAMP LOCATION: ACLD S SPIEGEL CHILDREN S CENTER (Completed Grades 1-8) 8:30am-4:00pm John Borromeo Director (x182) John.Borromeo@ymcali.org Sports Camp is designed to provide children with an exciting learning experience (socially, emotionally, and physically) using sports as its medium. The focus is to keep campers active, learning and playing a wide variety of sports and games in a fun and safe environment. Our staff will teach the fundamentals of the sport while promoting self-confidence, and self esteem. Your camper will also enjoy other traditional camp activities and even embark on one field trip per session. Options Available: Monday-Friday and Monday/Wednesday/Friday

7 TEEN TRAVEL CAMP LOCATION: ACLD S SPIEGEL CHILDREN S CENTER (Completed Grades 7 9) 8:30am-4:00pm John Borromeo Director (x182) John.Borromeo@ymcali.org The Y looks forward to another year of action-packed trips and activities. Teens will embark on three fun-filled trips each week! Previous trips have included action packed theme parks, beach trips, professional ball games and out-of-state attractions. The remainder of their time will be spent making friends and enjoying Y teen activities including swimming, sports, crafts, Teen Lounge, and much more. Options Available: Monday-Friday and Monday/Wednesday/Friday COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT) CIT (Counselor in Training) Must be age 15 before December 31, John Borromeo Director (x182) John.Borromeo@ymcali.org The CIT program is a great opportunity for exceptional young adults to develop their leadership skills. The program will provide hands-on learning allowing teens to slowly work into responsible roles leading children. CITs will embark on one fun-filled trip per session. Trips might include beach, bowling, movies, mini golf, etc. CIT candidates must submit an application by May 30th and will be contacted by our CIT Director for a required interview. For Performing Arts Camp CIT opportunities, contact Tiana Christoforidis at x148. The CIT Program runs in 3 - three week sessions. Options Available: Monday-Friday TRANSPORTATION (Completed Kindergarten and up) We provide door-to-door transportation for our Y day campers! Air conditioned mini-buses will pick up campers at their homes and drop off to their respective camp sites during regular camp hours (9AM Drop-Off or 4PM Pickup). This service is not available for half-day campers, Kiddie Camp and all extended programs. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for each session. Please inquire about towns available for our Transportation Service Please note transportation will not be available July 3rd due to the Holiday Round trip option only Options Available: Monday-Friday and Monday/Wednesday/Friday SPECIAL NEEDS/INCLUSION PROGRAM (Completed Grades K-6th) Jessica Panos Director (x181) Jessica.Panos@ymcali.org This program gives children with special needs, the opportunity to have an inclusionary summer camp experience. The Y, in partnership with the LIAM Foundation, will provide shadows (at no cost) for the children that need extra support and guidance. One session per child based upon availability. Parents are required to pay the regular camp fee. Financial Assistance is available through our Campership program.
