In Europe, Germany, UK,France, Italy and Spain reported negative growth. Vietnam 9 th Rank showed an decline of (-) 3.42% during Jan-Aug

5 Top Ten Importers of Textiles World Textile Imports Year To Date: January - August Rank Reporting Country Million United States Dollars % Change /2014 World United States China Vietnam Germany Italy Hong Kong Bangladesh Turkey Japan United Kingdom Top 10 countries cover around 53% of Trade World import trade in Textiles decreased by (-) 7.80% from US $ Bn during Jan-Aug 2014 to US $ Bn during Jan-Aug 2015 against a slight growth of 2.71% during the same period over previous year. USA being the largest importing country showed a highest growth of 6.80% and China reported a negative growth of (-) 11.95%. Vietnam (3 rd ) reported the growth of 7.44% followed by Bangladesh (7 th ) with 3.70% Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Turkey, Japan & United Kingdom reported negative growth. 5

6 Top Ten Exporters of Textiles World Textile Exports Year To Date: January - August Rank Reporting Country Million United States Dollars % Change /2014 World China United States India Germany South Korea Italy Turkey Taiwan Hong Kong Pakistan World export trade in Textiles reported a negative growth of (-) 8.14% decreasing from US $ Bn during Jan-Aug 2014 to US $ Bn during Jan-Aug 2015 against a growth of 3.28% during the previous year same period. While China, being the leading exporter, reported a decline of (-) 1.93% during Jan-Aug 2015, India (3rd largest exporter) reported a decline of (-) 12.86% during Jan-Aug 2015 against a growth of 5.69% during previous year. USA being the second largest exporter, reported a decline of (-) 4.36% and Germany (4 th ) reported a negative growth of (-) 15.38% followed by Italy, South Korea, Turkey, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Pakistan 6

7 Top Ten Exporters of Clothing World Clothing Exports Year To Date: January - August Rank Reporting Country Million United States Dollars % Change /2014 World China Bangladesh Vietnam Italy India Hong Kong Germany Turkey Spain France Top 10 countries cover around 75% of Trade World export trade in Clothing reported a negative growth of (-) 6.75% decreasing from US $ Bn during Jan-Aug 2014 to US $ Bn during Jan-Aug Vietnam reported the highest growth of 11.09% during Jan-Aug Amongst the top ten suppliers, China (largest exporter) reported a negative growth of (-) 6.69% and Bangladesh(2 nd largest exporter) reported a growth of 2.85% during Jan-Aug India being the 5 th largest exporter reported the 2 nd highest growth of 5.65%. Italy, Hong Kong, Germany, Turkey, Spain and France reported negative growth during this period. 7

India remains the third largest supplier of T&C to USA during Jan-Oct 2015, (recording a growth of 6.79% in 2014 and 8.22% in Jan-Oct 2015) after China and Vietnam. Imports from China reported a growth of 1.68% in 2014 and 3.79% in Jan-Oct 2015 while Vietnam (the second largest supplier) reported a growth of 15.55% in 2014 and 13.36% in Jan-Oct Sri Lanka (10 th ) reported a growth of 7.31% in 2014 and 14.19% in Jan-Sept

India remains the second largest supplier of Textiles to USA during Jan-Oct 2015, (recording a growth of 7.42% in 2014 and 9.15% in Jan-Oct 2015) after China. Imports from China reported a growth of 4.71% in 2014 and 10% in Jan-Oct 2015 while Mexico (the third largest supplier) reported a growth of 3.03% in 2014 and 2.53% in Jan-Oct Turkey (7 th ) reported a growth of 9.96% in 2014 and 8.22% in Jan-Oct

India remains the fifth largest supplier of Clothing to USA during Jan-Oct 2015, (recording a growth of 6.15% in 2014 and 7.27% in Jan-Oct 2015) Imports from China reported a slight growth of 0.69% in 2014 and growth of 1.67% in Jan-Oct 2015 while Vietnam (the second largest supplier) reported a highest growth of 15.83% in 2014 and 13.73% in Jan-Oct Bangladesh (3 rd ) largest supplier reported a growth of 11.08% in Jan-Oct Sri Lanka (9th) reported a growth of 14.25% in Jan-Oct

Leading supplier China showed a growth of 8.79% in 2014 and reported negative growth of (-) 9.95% in Jan-Sep 2015 while Bangladesh reported a growth of 13.94% in 2014 and 1.86% in Jan-Sep 2015 and Turkey reported a growth of 9.27% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 15.81% in Jan-Sep Cambodia recorded highest growth of 8.09% followed by Vietnam with 2.02% in Jan Sep 2015 India (4 th largest supplier) reported a growth of 12.99% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 10.87% in Jan-Sep

Leading supplier China showed a growth of 13.20% in 2014 and reported negative growth of (-) 6.79% in Jan-Sep 2015 while Turkey reported a growth of 11.12% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 13.48% in Jan-Sep 2015 and Pakistan reported a growth of 21.01% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 8% in Jan-Sept US, South Korea, Switzerland, Japan, Egypt & Taiwan reported negative growth in Jan-Sep 2015 India (3 rd largest supplier) reported a growth of 8.85% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 14.49% in Jan-Sep

Leading supplier China showed a growth of 7.50% in 2014 and reported negative growth of (-) 10.93% in Jan-Sep 2015 while Bangladesh reported a growth of 14.48% in 2014 and 2.34% in Jan-Sep 2015 and Turkey reported a growth of 8.41% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 16.93% in Jan-Sep Cambodia recorded highest growth of 7.96% followed by Vietnam with 3.15% and Pakistan with 4.09% respectively in Jan Sep 2015 India (4 th largest supplier) reported a growth of 15.19% in 2014 and negative growth of (-) 9.05% in Jan-Sep

14 Major Importers of Cotton Textiles World Cotton Textile Imports Year To Date: January - August Rank Reporting Country Million United States Dollars % Change /2014 World United States China Vietnam Germany Bangladesh Hong Kong Japan Italy United Kingdom France Top 10 countries cover around 58% of Trade The overall imports of Cotton Textiles reported a negative growth of (-) 6.89% during the period Jan-Aug 2015 against a growth of 0.83% in Jan-Aug 2014 over the previous year. In the EU, Italy, Germany, France and UK recorded negative growth. United States reported the highest growth of 7.38% followed by Bangladesh with 2.55% and China by 0.62% in Jan Aug 2015 Vietnam, Hong Kong and Japan showed decline of (-) 5.25%, (-) 8.57%, and (-) 10.75% respectively. 14

15 US Imports of Cotton Textiles Rank Partner Country US Cotton Textile Imports Year To Date: January - October Million United States Dollars % Share % Change /2014 World China India Pakistan Mexico Canada Korea South Turkey Vietnam Italy Taiwan Top 10 countries cover around 88% of Trade in Jan-Oct 2015 The overall US imports of Cotton Textiles during Jan-Oct 2014 reported a growth of 2.77% and 6.01% in Jan-Oct While China being the top supplier reported a growth of 3.75% in 2014 and 9.60% in Jan-Oct 2015, India being the second top supplier reported a growth of 2.23% in 2014 and 10.43% in Jan-Oct Taiwan reported the highest growth of 16.10% in Jan-Oct 2015 followed by Turkey with 9.97%. Vietnam recorded slight growth of 3.88% during Jan-Oct 2014 and 2.87% in Jan-Oct

Vietnam reported the highest growth of 28.65% in 2014 and reported negative growth of (-) 6.59% during Jan Sep 2015 India as the 4th largest supplier grew by 7.18% in 2014 and reported negative growth of (-) 19.03% during Jan Sep

17 Major Importers of Cotton Yarn World Cotton Yarn Imports Year To Date: January - August Rank Reporting Country Million United States Dollars % Change /2014 World China Hong Kong Bangladesh South Korea Turkey Italy Vietnam Portugal Japan Egypt Top 10 countries cover around 78% of Trade Global imports of Cotton yarn during Jan-Aug 2015 reached a level of US $ 9.44 Bn decreasing from US $ Bn in Jan-Aug 2014, marking a negative growth of (-)5.69% in dollar terms, while in volume terms, imports increased during this period from 2791 Mn.Kgs to 3070 Mn.Kgs i.e. increase by 10.01%. China s imports reached a level of US $ 4.45 Bn (1607 Mn Kgs) in Jan-Aug 2015 increasing from US $ 4.09 Bn (1293 Mn Kgs) in Jan-Aug 2014 a growth of 9.01% in dollar terms and 24.31% in quantity terms. Hong Kong, Bangladesh, S.Korea, Turkey, Vietnam, Portugal, Italy, and Japan reported a decline in value terms. Egypt reported a growth of 23.59% in dollar terms and % in volume terms during Jan-Aug

India s exports reached a level of US $ 2.59 Bn (900 Mn Kgs) in Jan-Aug 2015 decreasing from US $ 2.74 Bn (804 Mn Kgs) in Jan-Aug 2014 a decline of (-)5.27% in dollar terms and growth of 11.90% in quantity terms. Vietnam reported highest growth of 19.52% in dollar terms and 33.99% in quantity terms during Jan-Aug Pakistan, United States, Indonesia and Turkey recorded positive growth in quantity terms during Jan-Aug
