2 Introduction Radiation Professionals offer a wide range of radiation safety courses for the purpose of licencing, education and awareness. All courses are professionally run by our highly skilled trainers, either in our offices or at your premise of choice. Our courses ensure that every participant receives a high level of practical experience whilst also providing the necessary background knowledge to ensure that they excel in their workplace. We are an approved radiation safety training provider recognised by the WA Radiological Council and the relevant regulatory authority in each other state and territory in Australia. Radiation Safety Radiation Professionals are a complete lifecycle radiation service provider to the natural resources industry. We have decades of combined experience in radiation safety, fixed gauges, X-rays, transport and Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) management. One of the biggest challenges operators face is obtaining the correct information that is why Radiation Professionals is dedicated to getting the best possible information to our clients, by providing complete lifecycle solutions, including Training, Consulting & Risk Management. As there are many different forms of radiation, it is imperative for your safety and health to make sure you are appropriately protected. Employers have a duty to care for their workers to ensure that all potential health and safety risks are managed appropriately and in accordance with the legal dose limits. Protection from potential radiation sources during normal operations and maintenance periods must be controlled to minimise their exposures. Workers doses must be monitored, recorded and reported to the regulator under legislation. By ensuring that radiation safety systems are in place to protect the workers, this will ensure that the business meets all its legal health and safety objectives. Safety Through Expertise

5 Licencing RADIOLOGICAL COUNCIL Radiation Safety Act 1975 Equipment Training Radiation Professionals provide a range of different training packages and have a great deal of experience with a vast range of radiation monitoring equipment, including personal dosimeters, survey instruments, contamination monitors and much more. Not only can we supply you with the necessary equipment to measure radiation but we can also train companies and their workers on how to use this equipment effectively. The Radiological Council is an independent statutory authority appointed under the Radiation Safety Act in Western Australia, to assist the Minister for Health to protect public health and to maintain safe practices in radiation protection. The Radiation Safety Act regulates the keeping and use of radioactive substances (e.g. NORM and Fixed Industrial Gauges), irradiating apparatus (e.g. portable x-ray equipment such as XRF) and certain electronic products. The Act applies to both ionising and non-ionising radiation. Registration and licensing are the principal means by which the use of radiation sources is regulated. Radiation Professionals are an approved radiation safety training provider recognised by the WA Radiological Council and the relevant regulatory authority in each other state and territory in Australia. When measuring radiation, it needs to be done safely and recorded accurately. All our equipment is calibrated in accordance with regulatory requirements. We can provide training at one of our offices across Australia or a preferred site of choice, provide you with the correct manuals and skills so that in the future you're always competent when using radiation equipment.
