7 TASK 1 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA GOAL: Identifying the most suitable criteria for buildings selection and monitoring Selection criteria to identify the buildings to monitor; Status: completed Proposal for the households/buildings/blocks to be monitored as case studies Status: completed Selection of the indicators to monitor the buildings; Status: completed Installation of the smart meters Status: EDP has installed smart meters in Parque das Nações and is currently evaluating the installation in some dwellings in Olivais. 9 TASK 1 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA Location of Households being monitored IST and LNEG have installed temperature and humidity sensors in 8 residential households; CO 2 and luminosity sensors will be installed soon; The first stage of monitoring the heating season has been completed and the data has been already collected. The records were made in the period from October to December. 14 TASK 2 - IMPROVEMENT OF PREDICTIVE/DESIGN TOOLS Next steps Monitoring Second monitoring phase of heating season is being conducted now; (To be finish in the end of February) Monitoring of external conditions is taking place in parallel with house monitoring; (To be finish in the end of February) CO 2 emissions monitoring is being prepared; (Depending on the reception of equipment) Electric energy consumption monitoring; New visits are being planned to carry out a more detailed survey of equipment, lighting and use. (Depending on home owners availability) Numerical model Numerical models: o Inclusion of equipment and lighting systems information; (To be finish in the end of February) o Inclusion of air infiltration values estimated by CO 2 emissions monitoring; (To be finish in the end of February) o Update of the weather file for models validation, weather station data will be introduced; (To be finish in the end of February) Model validation; (To be finish in the end of March) Results analysis. 15 TASK 3 IDENTIFICATION OF ENERGY EFFICIENT TECHNIQUES GOAL: Development of high performance building envelope and technical solutions Status: to start upon initial results of Task 2, month 6 was the provisional date Identification and installation of data loggers in residential buildings Status: completed Identification of improvement measures for building envelope solutions and technical systems. Develop multi-criteria optimization tools for integrated building design. Analyze solutions for architectural integration of renewable energy sources, both for new buildings and retrofit of existing buildings towards NZEBs. 16 TASK 4 MONITORING OF BUILDINGS GOAL: Energy data gathering and analysis aiming to quantify the flexibility provided by active demand response. Identification of the data sets to be gathered from the service buildings (energy and indoor climate conditions) Status: U.Coimbra visited both buildings and meet with the energy managers Energy data gathering, through smart meters, buildings management systems in service buildings, and data of energy certificates. Status: Energy Certificates for both buildings available, as well as the model for Novabase. A 2 nd visit is already scheduled to complement the collected data and to convey an a questionnaire to assess indoor environmental conditions. Measurement of the energy demand through power analyzers to support BESM calibration. Status: Scheduled to start in February Quantification of the flexibility provided by active demand response, aggregated by a market agent, as input for WP5. 18 TASK 5 MODELS FOR BUILDINGS CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT GOAL: Develop tools for the optimization of different phases of the buildings life cycle, focused on existing buildings Status: to start in month 19, July 2016, upon results of Task 2, 3 and 4 Develop tools for the optimization of different phases of the buildings life cycle, focused on existing buildings. Control methods for intelligent design and operation of buildings; Develop of smart energy management approaches; Optimization of individual consumer s electricity bill. 19 TASK 6 PROMOTE USER INTERACTION GOAL: Promote user involvement and behavior change Invite participants to be part of SusCity Status: Cooperation with Olivais & Par. Nações Articles in the Olivais newsletter; Dissemination posters available in the most relevant areas of the parishes, direct invitation to specific dwellings; Promotion and participation in parish events. Promote public awareness about sustainability issues, environmentally friendly behaviors through the engagement of end-users using social networking tools.
