ACADEMIC RECORDS In 1995, he finishes the Secondary School at Escola Secundária de Carlos Amarante, in Braga, Portugal with an average final score of 17 (out of 20 values). In 2000, he finishes its BSc ( Licenciatura ) in Civil Engineering with an average final score of 15 (out of 20 values). In June 2003, in the scope of an evaluation that gives equivalency to an MSc Degree (named Provas de Aptidão Pedagógica e Capacidade Científica ), he presents at the University of Minho a Lecture entitled Study of the Behaviour of Bituminous Mixtures and a dissertation entitled Mechanical Characterisation of Hot Recycled Bituminous Mixtures (in Portuguese), being Approved with a final mark of Very Good. In May 2006, he finishes his PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Nottingham, UK, with a Thesis entitled Grouted Macadam: Material Characterisation for Pavement Design, being approved with Minor corrections. 3.
