Inspired by the great links courses of Britain, particularly those on land which are less dominated by dunes, Craigielaw is equal to many of the finest examples of such courses; some of which are conveniently located nearby in the East Lothian area. Designed by Donald Steel & Co. the course opened in 2001 and in this short period has been host to many national events, including the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and was a qualifying course for the 2007 British Seniors Open at Muirfield. With challenging greens, cavernous bunkers and spectacular views over the Firth of Forth, Gullane Hill and out towards Edinburgh and Fife, Craigielaw Golf Club is an experience not to be missed. Craigielaw Golf Club is a modern forward thinking, family orientated golf club where all members are treated equally. The club offers first class facilities both on and off the course. 1

2 Our Clubhouse Our modern clubhouse offers stunning panoramic views over the Forth to Fife. The restaurant creates delicious modern cuisine using the finest in East Lothian produce. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area is very welcoming and laid back we are open all year round to members, their families, friends and children are welcome. The Lodge at Craigielaw Our 4*, 25 bedroom hotel opened in May As a member of Craigielaw, exclusive rates and offers are made available throughout the year. In addition to this members will have the benefit of the exclusive member s lounge looking out over the 18th green and across the water to Fife and Gullane. This includes our Golf Academy run by PGA qualified Professionals, which offers a grassed driving range, putting green and 6 hole par 3 short course. In addition to this Craigielaw golf club has in place fantastic coaching packages offering both group and individual lessons, tailored to your exact golfing needs. 2

3 Members Guest Rate Members may introduce guests to the club at a discounted members guest rate and are allowed to sign in up to 3 guests at a time. Members are also able to use golf trolleys free of charge and receive discounted rates on electric buggies. Member Integration Craigielaw golf club promotes member integration with a busy social calendar and monthly medals throughout the summer and winter months. Members can obtain and maintain a handicap and are eligible to play in the monthly medal competitions as well as other competitions held at the club. Global and Local Links Craigielaw has several reciprocal agreements with golf clubs around the world. These include, the Al Hamra Club in the United Arab Emirates, the Cutten Club in Canada and the Killara Golf Club in Sydney, Australia. In addition to this we are also part of the East Lothian Golf Tourism Members Access Scheme. This allows Craigielaw members to play at a number of golf courses in East Lothian with 50% off the green fees. Members wishing to utilise the access scheme must book their golf through the golf office.
