3 Accessibility Statement Greetings and Welcome to EMC World Las Vegas 2011! Here at EMC, we re committed to providing a welcoming, fully accessible environment at EMC World for all conference attendees with disabilities. In partnership with The Venetian and The Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino, we have created an accessibility guide to address all of your questions and concerns about this year s conference. The following guide outlines all of the accessible accommodations that The Venetian and The Palazzo provide as well as additional transportation and parking information. If you have any additional questions or concerns during the conference, please stop by the information booth located in the hallway of Level 2 at the Venetian meeting space (see map on Page 10). 14 Getting to the Hotel & Convention Center Public Transportation There are many different transportation options in Las Vegas, including shuttle busses, taxis, and limousine services. If you would like to pre-arrange transportation to The Venetian, contact Concierge Services at Shuttle Service Option to and from The Venetian 1. O.D.S. AIRPORT SHUTTLE COST: $6.00 per person to be paid directly to the driver The driver accepts cash only; no credit cards or suite charges Details from The Venetian to McCarran International Airport Pick-Up Location: The Venetian Porte-Cochere Check-In: With the shuttle chauffeur Hours of Operation: Hours of Operation: 7 days a week / 6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Departs: The shuttle departs every half hour, on the top of the hour and on the bottom of the hour. The shuttle departs promptly, so it is recommended to arrive 10 minutes prior to the departure time. Reservations are not required between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. After 6pm and before 6am please call (702) to schedule a shuttle pick up time. The shuttle does not make any additional stops in route to the airport. For more information contact O.D.S. 15 Parking The Venetian provides complimentary valet and self parking. The Palazzo parking entrance can be found on Sands Ave. while the parking entrance to The Venetian is located behind Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. 15

16 Checking In EMC World Registration Registration for EMC World 2011 is in Hall C, Level 2 of The Venetian (see map on Page 10: The Venetian Convention Center: Level 2). EMC World registration hours are as follows: Sunday. May 8, 2011: 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, May 9, 2011: 7:30 am - 8:30 pm Wheel Chairs The Venetian has wheelchairs and wheelchair accessible suites available upon request. Contact The Venetian at to make this request when booking your suite. To request a wheel chair once you are on-site, simply contact the Hotel Operator at Visual & Hearing Impairment Assistance Visual Impairment Assistance The Venetian welcomes all ADA-approved service dogs with proper documentation. Documentation may include an ADA card, ADA tags, or an identifying vest worn by the pet in question. Hearing Impairment Assistance The Venetian has suites equipped for the hearing-impaired. 17 Getting Around and Getting Help Wheelchair & Scooter Rentals Electric Scooters are available on a first come first served basis at the information booth located in the hallway of Level 2 on your way to the Convention Center for use on The Venetian and Palazzo properties only. You may contact one of the following companies in Las Vegas that offer wheelchair or scooter rentals if you wish to use scooters beyond the Venetian property: Ability Center Active Mobility Better Life Mobility Center Desert Medical Equipment Las Vegas Wheelchairs Medical N Mobility Mesa Medical Scootaround Scooters4Less Inc Universal Mobility Equipment Along The Strip Las Vegas also has several elevated crosswalks, which are accessible by elevator, making sidewalk travel in a wheelchair easier. You'll find elevated walkways on the Las Vegas Strip between the New York-New York, the MGM Grand, the Excalibur and the Tropicana at Las Vegas Blvd. and Tropicana Avenue and between the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon and Bally's at Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo Road. There are also elevated walkways from TI to Fashion Show, from Fashion Show to Wynn, from Wynn to Venetian and from Venetian to TI. An elevated walkway is also being installed between City Center and Planet Hollywood.
