18 Camp Otonabee Out Tripping Programs 10Y-13Y Out Trippers Loon (5 Day Program) 10Y-13Y The Loon out tripping program is for campers who are looking for a true back-country experience. Campers will be at Camp Otonabee on Monday and Tuesday during the day, and go home each of these days after camp. During the first two days, campers will develop skills in fire building, paddling, and portaging, as well as learn how to set up a tent and what items to pack on a wilderness camping trip. On Wednesday, campers arrive at camp with all of their gear packed and ready to go before venturing out on a three day, two night canoe trip in the North Frontenac Parklands with our experienced and committed staff. They return to camp on Friday, and will be ready to go home at the end of the camp day. Please note that additional information; packing list, campsite locations and program details will be sent out to all campers that register in this program. If you have any questions prior to registration please contact the camp office. Loon campers are able to take the Otonabee bus or you may arrange your own transportation. Camp Otonabee bus schedules will be available online. Out Trippers Heron (2 Week Program) 12Y-14Y The Heron out tripping program is for campers who are looking for an extended wilderness experience. Either one of these locations are where campers can be picked up after their exciting adventures! As their exit time from the park may vary due to weather, the pick-up times will be between 5PM and 6PM. This will be confirmed closer to the date.
