Gonyo BANQUET INFORMATION/AGREEMENT (Revised 9/5/12) ALL THE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE SEA WATCH RESTAURANT ARE SUBJECT TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE RESTAURANT. THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS MUST BE SATISFIED *PRIVATE DINING AREAS* The Captain s Room (maximum capacity is 60 guests) The Captain s Room is our most private dining room. In addition, it has a private patio for your guests to enjoy with a beautiful view of the ocean. It seats up to 60 guests and allows room for a small area for dancing and disc jockey for groups under 50 guests. White linens are provided at no additional cost. THE CAPTAIN S ROOM BOOKING REQUIREMENTS The Captain s room has limited availability for dinner events on weekends. Monday Thursday for daytime or evening events a minimum of 25 guests is required. Friday Sunday for day time events a minimum of 25 guests required. Friday and Sunday for evening events a minimum of 45 guests required. The Loft (maximum capacity is 25 guests) The loft is on the 2 nd floor. All guests must be able to climb the stairs. It has a beautiful view of the ocean. The loft seats up to 23 guests (most comfortable with 20 guests) and does not allow for entertainment, music, or dancing. White linens are provided at no additional cost. There are 5 tables for seating up to 5 guests at each table. THE LOFT BOOKING REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 15 guests are required to occupy the loft in most cases. On Friday and Saturday nights a minimum of 20 guests are required to occupy the loft. All guests must be able to climb the stairs. The Cove (maximum capacity is 30 guests) The Cove is a private area with a view of the ocean. It seats up to 30 guests (most comfortable with 25 guests) and does not allow for entertainment, music, or dancing. White linens are provided at no additional cost. THE COVE BOOKING REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 25 guests are required to occupy the cove at any time. 1
2 *DEPOSIT* A Deposit is due at the time of booking in the amount of $300 for a luncheon and $500 for a dinner. Deposits are not refundable. The deposit will be deducted from your final bill. Checks are NOT accepted. An additional deposit is due 10 days prior to your event. Information on this deposit can be found on page 3 under *GUARANTEE* *PAYMENT* Payment shall be made according to the terms and conditions of the Restaurant Management. If the terms and conditions of payment are not fulfilled, the Restaurant Management shall have the option of canceling the contract upon 24 hours notice to the person who signed this agreement or any officer s of the group or organization. Checks are NOT accepted anytime. We do accept Charge Cards (AMEX, VISA, MASTER CARD, DINERS CARD, AND DISCOVER). We do not offer direct billing. *Separate checks are not an option for private/banquet events* SALES TAX A 6% Sales tax applies to all charges. *CONTRACT* The Sea Watch Banquet Contract must be completed in full and submitted with the necessary deposit to secure your reservation. If you are planning a ceremony at the Sea Watch Restaurant it is also necessary to complete the ceremony contract. A deposit cannot be accepted and reservation cannot be secured without completed contracts. *LOCATION* The selection of the location for the Patron s function is based on patron s requirements at the time of booking. If the requirements change, Management reserves the right to transfer the function to a more fitting location. *BEVERAGES/OUTSIDE FOOD* Coffee, Hot tea, and Ice tea are included in the entrée prices. Soft drinks, lemonades, juices, etc. are not included in the entrée prices. Alcohol is on a per drink basis averaging $ $10.00 per beverage. There are no bar packages available. Food or beverages (including alcohol) may not be brought into the restaurant. Cakes celebrating the event are permitted at no additional charge. *PROOF OF INSURANCE* Sea Watch is not responsible for damage or loss to any merchandise that is brought in by patron or guests. Patron is responsible for any damage done to the Sea Watch during the period of time that facility is being used by Patron or the use of any independent contractor hired by the patron. Proof of insurance for venders must be provided two weeks prior to your event. Your venders will not be permitted to set up without proof of insurance. This includes musicians and disc jockeys. 2
3 *GUARANTEE* The number of guests attending with final choices and details must be submitted to the Banquet Manager 10 days prior to your event on the Event Information Form (Page 5). This number will be considered the guarantee, not subject to reduction. This number will never be less than the number of guests required to occupy your location. At this time, an additional deposit is required. This deposit is the estimated cost of the all contracted services (food, ceremony charges, etc.), less the original deposit. Any additional charges, tax, and gratuity will be collected on the day of the event. Checks are not accepted. *MENU SELECTION/EVENT INFORMATION* As the host of the event, you choose 1 starter and 2 entrées. Your guests choose one of the two entrees you ve chosen. It is necessary to preorder your Starter and Entrée choices with quantities and all other details 10 days prior to your event on the Event Information Form (Page 5). Please plan to provide place cards noting your guest s individual choices to be displayed at each setting. A children s banquet menu is available for children under 12 only. It is not necessary to preorder items on the children s menu. *SET UP* All decorations such as flowers, balloons, chairs, runners, etc. inside the restaurant and at ceremony sites are the responsibility of the customer. The use of restaurant personnel is not permitted to assist with decorating, set up, or break down. The Sea Watch is not responsible for items left at the restaurant following your event. Please no confetti or bubbles. *EVENT TIMING* Luncheon Events 11:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Private areas can be accessed 30 minutes prior to your guest s arrival time for set up, favors, decorating, etc. and must be vacated by 4:00 P.M. Dinner Events 5:30 P.M. 10:00 P.M. Weddings on Site Lunch events are recommended from November through March due to darkness. For luncheon events, Please plan an 11:30 A.M. ceremony. Mirra On Site Ceremony The Sea Watch offers two lovely areas for an on site ceremony (Wedding, Renewal, Baptisms, Etc.) The South Lawn offers a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and is easily accessible for your guests. The tropical landscaping provides an excellent setting for extraordinary pictures of your special day. For a Wedding, the staircase leading to the south lawn creates a beautiful aisle entrance for the bride. The Sand Site provides a private setting for a beach ceremony. It is accessible on the north side of the restaurant and sits amongst Sea grass, Sand dunes, and swaying palm trees. The fee to secure the South Lawn or the Sand Site is $500 Officiant Service The Sea Watch offers Officiant Service for your wedding ceremony. This service includes the creation of vows, officiating the ceremony, and court house filing. In addition, it includes ceremony coordination and rehearsal if necessary. The Officiant will include a symbolic ceremony such as; unity sand ceremony or unity candle ceremony at no additional charge. The materials necessary for the symbolic ceremony are the responsibility of the bride and groom. Marriage License and proper identification is required on your wedding day. Please see page 11 for information regarding obtaining a Florida Marriage License. The fee to secure the Officiant service offered by Sea Watch is $275 Ceremony Chairs The Sea Watch offers white wood padded chairs (set up and tear down included) available for your ceremony. The Sand Site $8.00 per chair The South Lawn $5.00 per chair Ceremony Site You are required to have your luncheon or dinner at the Sea Watch following the ceremony. 12 Marriage License Information A marriage license can be obtained in person at a Florida courthouse or by mail from the courthouse in Titusville, Brevard County, FL. Please note the difference in these similar sounding county names Ft. Lauderdale is in Broward County and Titusville is in Brevard County. There is no extra fee to apply by mail in Brevard County. To apply by mail from Brevard County please see: To apply for a marriage license in person: You may obtain your Florida marriage license in person at any Florida county courthouse that provides that service. Marriage licenses can be obtained in person at the following locations. Florida residents must apply at least 3 days prior to their wedding date. Non- Florida residents do not have the 3 day waiting period.
