5 Trainer s Profile Thomas Memmel Thomas Memmel was a research assistant at the University of Konstanz at the chair for human-computer interaction of Prof. Harald Reiterer. He holds a BSc (2002) and MSc (2005) in Computer Science. He was involved in a DaimlerChrysler AG funded PhD program and has previously taken part in HCI related projects associated with automotive information systems engineering. In 2009, Thomas Memmel started working for Zühlke Engineering AG in Switzerland as Usability Engineering Consultant and Trainer. Since 2010, he is manager of a business unit with special focus on client technology and user experience. Samuel Fricker Dr. Samuel A. Fricker is assistant professor in the Software Engineering Research Group (SERL) at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) and scientific advisor of Fuchs- Informatik AG, a leading Switzerland-based company in requirements engineering consultancy. His career is devoted to requirements engineering and software product management and included the positions of senior consultant, global process responsible, lecturer, and senior research associate. Samuel Fricker is leading standardization activities in the software product management field. He is Industry Chair of the 19th IEEE International Requirements Engineering Conference RE 11. He is a supporting member of the IREB. Amiruddin Jaafar Sidek Amiruddin Jaafar Sidek is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Custommedia Sdn Bhd, an established ISO 9001:2000 and CMMI-certified software engineering company in Malaysia. With over 23 years of IT Consulting Services experience, he also performs the role of Managing Consultant (MC) for all of Custommedia s professional services engagements with its major clients. His assignments spread across industries such as financial services, education, retail & distribution, telecommunications and transportation; covering international and local initiatives. In many instances, these assignments were of enterprise scale and involve advanced technologies of the time. These experiences are derived amongst others whilst working as COO/MC at Custommedia, and as Managing Consultant/Principal Consultant at both Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) and Oracle Consulting Services (OCS) in Malaysia. He also has more than 10 years experience that covers end-user IT operations and management i.e. IS Planning, Solutions Development, Packaged Applications Implementation, Software Quality Assurance & QC/Testing, IT Operations and users training, whilst serving a commercial bank as an Information Systems Manager. Today, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB) where he leads the Knowledge Management & Syllabus Working Party in MSTB. Amiruddin holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Mathematics) from University of Queensland, Australia and holds an ISTQB CT-FL and CT-AL (TM) certifications.
